Huawei Band 10 was listed in several certification databases before its 2025 release. Indonesia’s SDPPI and TÜV SÜD first showed model NOR-B29 on December 24, 2024; NOR-B19 appeared in later January coverage, followed by Malaysian SIRIM approvals for both identifiers. Those entries were credible evidence of market preparation, but they did not by themselves establish a launch date, final specifications, price or availability in every country. Huawei subsequently launched the Band 10 in multiple markets during March and April 2025, so this is now a retrospective account rather than a current pre-launch leak.
Certification timeline
December 2024: NOR-B29 appears
Coverage published on December 24, 2024 reported NOR-B29 in Indonesia’s SDPPI database and on the TÜV SÜD certification platform. SDPPI approval is relevant to radio-equipped products entering Indonesia; it indicates regulatory preparation, not an automatic retail release. Huawei Central reported the listings.
January 2025: NOR-B19 follows
A January 9 report identified a second Band 10 identifier, NOR-B19, on SDPPI with certificate number 106897/SDPPI/2025. The same report gave TÜV SÜD certificate number SG PSB-IV-13082 and described the item as a fitness wristband or smart band. TÜV SÜD’s appearance should be treated as certification or evaluation evidence, not proof of a particular feature set. The Tech Outlook documented NOR-B19.
January 2025: Malaysian SIRIM approvals
SIRIM records were reported for both models. NOR-B29 carried type-approval code RDCX/05L/0125/S(25-0167), while NOR-B19 carried RDCX/04L/0125/S(25-0168). The reported validity endpoint was January 26, 2030. SIRIM approval strengthened the case for Malaysian-market preparation, but did not mean that every country would launch the band simultaneously. What NOR-B19 and NOR-B29 mean
The records establish at least two model numbers associated with the Band 10 name. They do not establish whether the identifiers are regional regulatory SKUs, different case or connectivity configurations, material or color editions, or essentially the same hardware submitted under separate identifiers. Huawei’s retail product did come in aluminum-alloy and durable-polymer cases, so variant differentiation is plausible, but Huawei’s cited specifications do not map either model number to a particular edition.
What certification could—and could not—confirm
- It showed that Huawei had entered specific market and conformity processes with identifiable hardware submissions.
- It made a commercial launch more likely than an ordinary rumor.
- It did not independently confirm a launch date, price, software version, final sensors, NFC, GPS, cellular service or country-by-country availability.
- TÜV SÜD should not be presented as a guarantee of performance or as a substitute for a market-specific regulatory approval.
The later announcements supplied the missing outcome: Huawei Brazil announced the product on March 7, 2025; Malaysia’s recorded sales-launch period began March 24; and Huawei Japan announced sales from April 10. Japan’s announcement is available from Huawei Japan.

Battery and water-resistance limits
Battery figures use different test conditions
The 14-day figure is Huawei’s lighter-use maximum, not a universal runtime. Typical-use testing is rated at up to eight days, while always-on display use is rated at up to three days. Actual endurance changes with notifications, workouts, sensors, display settings and software.
5 ATM is not a diving rating
Huawei intends the band for shallow-water activities such as pool or coastal swimming. It is not intended for diving, hot showers, saunas or fast-flowing, high-pressure water. “50-meter waterproof” would overstate what the rating means.

Regional editions and launch prices
Huawei sold an aluminum-alloy case edition in colors such as matte black, white, green, blue and purple, depending on market, plus a durable-polymer edition in black and pink. Huawei Japan’s March 28 announcement listed launch prices of ¥8,580 for aluminum alloy and ¥6,800 for polymer. Malaysia’s official launch terms listed RM219 for aluminum-alloy colors and RM189 for black or pink polymer versions. These are historical launch prices, not current August 2026 global prices. The Malaysian terms are available as a Huawei PDF; Brazil’s announcement is at Huawei Brazil.
Who should consider it
- People wanting a lightweight band rather than a full smartwatch.
- Android or iPhone users focused on sleep, heart-rate, activity and workout tracking.
- Users who value long battery life and shallow-water swimming resistance.
It is a poor match for buyers who require independently validated medical monitoring, confirmed standalone GPS or cellular connectivity, diving protection, or guaranteed access to every feature in every region. The cited official pages provide no evidence of standalone GPS.
Best Value
- Stunning images, smooth touch: Immerse yourself in brilliant clarity with the large 1.72-inch AMOLED display.Vacuum filling sealing technology enables symmetrical 2.0mm ultra-thin bezels, expanding screen-to-body ratio from 66% to 73%. Enjoy incredibly smooth and seamless interaction with crisp, color-accurate images, right on your wrist.
The historical verdict
NOR-B29, NOR-B19 and the SIRIM, SDPPI and TÜV SÜD entries were real certification signals that Huawei was preparing the Band 10 for multiple markets. They did not reveal every final specification or guarantee a timetable. The product reached markets in 2025, and its official specification—Bluetooth 5.0/BLE, 5 ATM resistance, two case materials and condition-dependent battery claims—supersedes the more aggressive pre-launch rumors.
