What is the Havid Nagan HN00?
The HN00 is the first production model from Havid Nagan, a founder-led independent watch brand based in Los Angeles. It shows the brand’s approach in a compact brief: a sports-watch case, hours and minutes only, a textured dial in expressive colors, and a decorated automatic movement visible through a sapphire caseback. The official product page lists three dial colors: Jade, Arka Blue and Plum.

The HN00 is not a complicated watch. Its appeal rests instead on the contrast between the case’s sculpted geometry, the changing light across the dial pattern, and the exposed micro-rotor movement.
Who is Aren J Bazerkanian?
Bazerkanian is Havid Nagan’s founder and the creative force behind the HN00. In his account, an encounter with a Franck Muller watch sparked an interest in mechanical watches. He tried taking apart basic movements, but concluded that he was not suited to becoming a watchmaker. Rather than abandon the idea, he set out to design a high-end mechanical watch that could bring others into the subject he had come to love.

That distinction matters: the HN00 is founder-designed, not a watch Bazerkanian claims to have built or assembled himself. Monochrome’s February 2022 launch coverage says the brand worked with Swiss manufacturing partners in La Chaux-de-Fonds; Bazerkanian’s own essay describes his decision not to pursue watchmaking himself.
How did the HN00’s design come together?
An architectural titanium case
Bazerkanian traces the HN00’s geometry to his earlier work in Los Angeles real estate and his interest in modern residential architecture. The brand describes the case as a curved, three-part construction made from 17 individual components. Its Grade 5 titanium was chosen, in the founder’s words, for the material’s lightness and durability; that is his design rationale, not a published independent test of this particular case.
A stamped Grain d’Orge dial
The dial’s circular Grain d’Orge pattern—also known as barleycorn—was selected for the way its troughs and waves catch lacquer, polish and light. The pattern is stamped, then lacquered and polished. It is not described as hand-cut guilloché, so calling it hand-turned or hand-engraved would overstate what the sources establish. Applied hour indices use Super-LumiNova.
Jade, Arka Blue and Plum give the same pattern three distinct visual treatments. The brand calls them bold color variations, while the launch-era report adds a historical distinction in their availability, covered below.
A movement visible from the back
The HN00 uses a customized ASE200 automatic caliber with a bidirectional micro-rotor. Its dark NAC-treated bridges and mainplate are complemented by vertical Côtes de Genève, perlage, polished screws and a partially openworked mainspring barrel. Bazerkanian describes these finishes as part of the movement treatment he wanted for the watch.

How much did the HN00 cost at launch, and what was the availability?
Monochrome reported a USD 8,000 retail price and planned availability in the second quarter of 2022. That is launch-era pricing and timing, not a confirmed current price or statement of present stock. The same report said Arka Blue was limited to 100 pieces, while Jade and Plum were non-limited collection colors at launch. It does not establish whether the limited run sold out or whether any version remains available new.

A founder-authored update says the order for the first production batch had been submitted and mentions development of HN01. The page displays “Apr 2” without a year, so it cannot be used to date that update precisely.
Can you still buy a Havid Nagan HN00?
Current inventory and pricing are not established by the available product and launch pages. The official HN00 page lists specifications, but does not confirm present stock or ordering status. Anyone considering a purchase should ask Havid Nagan or an authorized seller directly to confirm availability, final specifications, price, warranty and delivery terms. The published launch price should not be treated as a current valuation or secondary-market guide.
What the published specifications do—and do not—tell you
The published figures describe the watch and movement; they are not reported independent test results. The reviewed sources do not document independent accuracy, durability, comfort or water-resistance testing. The official page’s 10 ATM figure is approximately 103 m by the brand’s conversion, while Monochrome’s 2022 article states 100 m; attribute those figures to their respective sources rather than treating them as an exact match.
The strap’s two-screw attachment is part of the design, but current strap availability, exact replacement fitment and compatibility with third-party straps are not established. Confirm fit before ordering a replacement.
