The Breguet Tradition Seconde Rétrograde 7035 puts much of its mechanical architecture on display, then adds a translucent blue enamel dial with hand-guilloché decoration. Its retrograde seconds hand sweeps an arc between 10 and 11 o’clock before returning to its starting point. Breguet identifies reference 7035BH/H2/9V6 as a special edition created for its 250th anniversary; the specifications and craft descriptions below are the brand’s, not the findings of an independent test.
A dial built around the movement
The Tradition 7035’s defining visual choice is to arrange the dial and movement components together rather than conceal the mechanics beneath a conventional full dial. Hours and minutes are shown on a blue, hand-guilloché grand feu enamel dial, while the retrograde seconds display occupies the space between 10 and 11 o’clock. “Retrograde” describes the hand’s arc-shaped travel and return: it advances across its scale, then snaps back to begin again.
Breguet names the dial decoration Quai de l’Horloge. The company says the motif draws inspiration from the Seine around Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis, and references the historic Turgot map. The blue surface is translucent enamel over hand-guilloché work, combining a patterned base with a fired enamel finish.
Movement and official specifications
Breguet lists an automatic 505 SR movement with 245 components, a 50-hour power reserve and a frequency of 3 Hz. The movement is specified as 6.3 mm thick and 32.8 mm wide. The figures are manufacturer-published specifications; the reviewed official material does not provide independent measurement or performance-test results.

This detail complements the watch’s visible-mechanics theme while distinguishing the finishing and material treatment on the reverse from the gold case and blue enamel on the front.
