Its published specifications include a 36mm stainless-steel case, 41.5mm lug-to-lug length and Seiko VK68 mecha-quartz chronograph movement. The US$475 price was reported at launch in November 2025; current price and availability should be checked with the retailer.
What makes this Metric a Teddy Baldassarre edition?
The Metric is Brew Watch Co.’s coffee-themed chronograph: its dial uses a 25-to-35-second scale as a visual reference for timing an espresso shot. For this collaboration, Brew founder Jonathan Ferrer and watch creator and retailer Teddy Baldassarre developed a distinct blue treatment within the Metric family.
Coverage describes tonal blue dial surfaces, redesigned hands and an engraved case back marking the collaboration. Baldassarre has said the date window was left off to preserve the dial’s visual harmony. The result is not a new watch architecture so much as an edition-specific take on the Metric’s espresso-inspired layout.
In his LinkedIn announcement, Baldassarre said, “I’m proud to have our name alongside Brew’s and excited to share this next chapter with you.” He described a 2018 Central Park video conversation with Ferrer as the beginning of their friendship and the path that eventually led to the watch.

Movement, timing and wear
The Seiko VK68 is a mecha-quartz chronograph: quartz timekeeping is combined with a mechanically styled chronograph operation. Here, that chronograph supports the Metric’s espresso-shot theme and the dial’s marked timing interval. The cited coverage gives a three-year battery-life estimate, but does not establish independent performance testing for this edition.

The integrated steel bracelet has clasp micro-adjustment, allowing small fit changes without swapping links. Time+Tide reports 22mm quick-release spring bars and says Brew offers rubber and leather straps for the Metric family. That does not establish that any particular aftermarket strap fits this edition; confirm the attachment dimensions and end fit before buying one.

How it differs from another Metric
When comparing this edition with another Brew Metric, focus on the details that affect both appearance and daily use:
- Dial: This edition’s tonal blue surfaces and redesigned hands distinguish its look.
- Date: It omits the date window; Baldassarre says that choice supports the dial’s visual balance.
- Fit: Compare the 36mm diameter, 10.75mm thickness and 41.5mm lug-to-lug dimensions with the other variant’s published measurements.
- Movement and chronograph: Check the movement and timing functions listed for the specific model rather than assuming every Metric configuration is identical.
- Bracelet and water resistance: Compare adjustment options and the stated water-resistance rating.
- Price: Use current listings for an apples-to-apples comparison; the US$475 figure here is historical launch coverage, not a verified current price.
The available coverage establishes this edition’s specifications and design changes, but it does not provide a hands-on comparison against another Metric variant.
