IWC’s 2025 Ingenieur launch added seven watches across 35 mm, 40 mm, 41.6 mm and 42 mm case sizes, in steel, 18-carat 5N gold and black ceramic. The line-up ranges from compact time-and-date models to a perpetual calendar, plus a green-dial, film-inspired model limited to 1,000 pieces. Here’s how the references differ and what was reported at launch.
How the seven 2025 Ingenieurs differ
The clearest way to compare the launch is by size, material and function. Prices below are historical euro snapshots, not current global quotes: Fratello Watches reported launch prices on 1 April 2025, while IWC’s Italian 2025 page listed slightly different amounts. The figures are kept separate by source rather than averaged.
| Reference | Model | Case and dial | Movement or complication | Price snapshot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IW324901 | Ingenieur Automatic 35 | Steel; silver-plated dial | Calibre 47110; 42-hour power reserve | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €11,300; IWC Italy, 2025: €11,400 |
| IW324906 | Ingenieur Automatic 35 | Steel; black dial | Automatic time-and-date | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €11,300; IWC Italy, 2025: €11,400 |
| IW324903 | Ingenieur Automatic 35 | 18-carat 5N gold case and bracelet | Automatic time-and-date | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €41,800; IWC Italy, 2025: €42,200 |
| IW328702 | Ingenieur Automatic 40 | 18-carat 5N gold case and bracelet; black dial | Calibre 32111 | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €51,400; IWC Italy, 2025: €51,800 |
| IW328908 | Ingenieur Automatic 40 | Steel case and bracelet; green grid-pattern dial with gold-colored appliqués | Automatic time-and-date | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €14,200; IWC Italy, 2025: €14,300 |
| IW344903 | Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41 | Steel | Calibre 82600; perpetual calendar and moonphase | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €40,900; IWC Italy, 2025: €41,200 |
| IW338903 | Ingenieur Automatic 42 | Black zirconium oxide ceramic case and bracelet; black grid-pattern dial | Calibre 82110 with Pellaton winding; reported 60-hour power reserve | Fratello, 1 April 2025: €21,500; IWC Italy, 2025: €21,700 |
Fratello’s 1 April 2025 launch report gives the case dimensions and technical details summarized here. IWC’s current collection page lists the seven references and identifies the film connection and production limit for IW328908. The Italian euro prices are from IWC’s regional 2025 listing; they should not be read as current prices in Italy or elsewhere. See Fratello’s 1 April 2025 launch report, IWC’s Ingenieur collection page and IWC’s Italian 2025 page.
Which 2025 Ingenieur suits each preference?
For a 35 mm case
Three Automatic 35 references provide the compact options. IW324901 pairs steel with a silver-plated dial, IW324906 uses a black dial, and IW324903 switches to an 18-carat 5N gold case and bracelet. The launch report specifies calibre 47110 and a 42-hour power reserve for the silver-dial IW324901; it does not provide those movement details for the other two 35 mm variants.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For a 40 mm case
The two Automatic 40 models differ chiefly in material and appearance. IW328702 is 18-carat 5N gold with a black dial. IW328908 is steel, with a green grid-pattern dial and gold-colored appliqués; IWC says this version was inspired by the bespoke watch worn by Sonny Hayes in F1 THE MOVIE.
For a calendar complication
IW344903 is the launch’s only Perpetual Calendar. Its displays cover the date, day, month, leap year and moonphase, with calibre 82600. The launch report gives its case size as 41.6 mm and water resistance as 100 m. That makes it distinct from the Automatic models, which are time-and-date watches rather than calendar complications of this scope.

For ceramic
IW338903 is the 42 mm option, with a black zirconium oxide ceramic case and bracelet and a black grid-pattern dial. Its calibre 82110 uses Pellaton winding, and the launch report gives a 60-hour power reserve. It is the largest case in the seven-watch line-up.
Is any 2025 Ingenieur a limited edition?
IWC states that production of the green-dial IW328908 is limited to 1,000 pieces. The brand’s collection page does not describe the other six 2025 references as limited editions, so that production limit should not be extended to them.

How the 2025 watches fit the Ingenieur lineage
IWC says Gérald Genta created the Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, in the 1970s. The 2025 models extend the modern Ingenieur range with smaller case options, new materials and a perpetual calendar; they are not presented as exact reissues of the 1832. The range retains recognizable Ingenieur design cues while giving buyers more choice in scale and complication.
