The announced European price was €199. Ice-Watch’s retail page continues to list the ring at €199, while Omate’s black model has appeared at $199 but out of stock, so availability depends on country, color and size.
What the Ice Ring is
The Omate Ice Ring is a smartphone-connected wellness wearable designed as a discreet alternative to a smartwatch or fitness band. Omate describes an Ice-Watch exclusivity arrangement in Europe, which explains why the same product appears on both companies’ sites. Ice-Watch presents it as the ICE ring.
Launch coverage positioned the ring against established health-focused smart rings such as Oura. The design uses titanium alloy and was announced in six sizes and three colors.

Activity and heart measurements
Ice-Watch lists activity monitoring, heart-rate sensing, changes in heart rate, blood-oxygen sensing, sports activities and stress-level assessment. The product description also refers to steps, distance, calories burned, movement reminders, heart-rate alerts and personalized wellness suggestions.
Blood-pressure claim
Blood-pressure tracking appeared in launch coverage and Omate-related descriptions, but it is not clearly specified in Ice-Watch’s current feature list. The available material does not establish cuff validation, clinical accuracy or regulatory clearance. Treat it as a manufacturer-reported feature claim, not a way to diagnose or manage hypertension.
What the readings mean
The listed heart rate, SpO2, stress and activity outputs are consumer-wearable estimates. No independent accuracy testing, medical validation or comparison with clinical instruments is established by the available product pages and launch coverage. They should not replace medical equipment or professional advice.

Sleep tracking: stages and a 0–100 score
The app is described as identifying awake time, rest or light sleep, deep sleep and REM sleep, then producing a sleep score from 0 to 100. Omate says the score is based on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, while Ice-Watch describes a sleep-quality score derived from the ring’s measured cycles.

Sports tracking and GPS
Ice-Watch says the app supports 24 sports, with five sports using GPS to show route and distance on a map. The evidence does not clearly establish that the ring contains its own GPS receiver; other launch coverage describes phone-assisted tracking. The practical assumption is that mapped workouts require the companion phone unless a current manual confirms independent GPS hardware.

Omate’s product description says health and location data are stored locally on the user’s phone and that the ring itself does not collect those data. That is a first-party privacy claim, not an independently audited finding.

IP68 and 5ATM describe different test regimes. They are not a blanket promise that the ring is suitable for diving, hot tubs, saunas, saltwater or every prolonged water exposure. The available pages do not state all temperature limits, permitted activities or warranty exclusions.

Omate and Ice-Watch claim Android and iPhone compatibility through a companion app distributed via Google Play and Apple’s App Store, using Bluetooth 5.1. The pages say recorded data can be viewed in the mobile app.

The available information does not establish the minimum Android or iOS versions, the current app version, Apple Health or Google Fit synchronization, account requirements, data export, retention period, multiple-user support or feature parity between platforms. Those details should be confirmed before purchase.

Launch and retailer pricing
The European launch price was €199. Ice-Watch’s page lists the ring at €199 and says it is sold online and through partner watch resellers. Omate’s black-ring page has appeared at $199 but marked out of stock. Stock can therefore differ by region, finish and ring size.
North American timing
Launch coverage expected North American availability in the first quarter of 2024. That was a forecast, not a current availability statement. It should not be treated as proof of stock in the United States or Canada in 2026.
