Orient’s January 31, 2025 release introduced four new colours for the standard Bambino and a separate white-dial 75th Anniversary limited edition. The Sun & Moon Bambino also gained three regular colours and its own white-dial anniversary model. The distinction matters: the new green, navy, beige and bordeaux standard Bambinos are not all anniversary editions.
What Orient introduced for the Bambino’s 75th anniversary
Orient’s release groups the watches into standard-colour additions and anniversary editions. For the classic Bambino, the new regular colours are green, navy blue, beige and bordeaux. The green, navy and bordeaux dials have sunburst finishing; beige is the first beige Bambino dial. Their listed references are RA-AC0023E, RA-AC0024L, RA-AC0025N and RA-AC0026R. The white-dial RA-AC0027S is a distinct 75th Anniversary limited edition, not a fifth standard colour. Orient’s January 31, 2025 announcement describes the Bambino’s traditional curved dial, domed glass and slender lugs as part of its retro character.
The Sun & Moon Bambino follows the same pattern: green, navy blue and bordeaux are regular dial variants, while white identifies the anniversary edition, reference RA-AK0808S. Orient says that model is limited to 5,500 pieces worldwide.

The thickness discrepancy for RA-AC0027S is present in Orient’s own published material: its release lists 12.3 mm, while the UK product page lists 12.0 mm. It is best to treat the exact figure as source-dependent rather than assume one listing supersedes the other. The other figures in the table are maker-published specifications, not independent measurements or performance testing.

Shared anniversary details—and what the Sun & Moon adds
Both limited editions use a cursive 1950s Orient logo, blue hands and pink-gold-coloured indices against a white dial. Each comes on a beige nubuck leather strap and includes an additional exchangeable calf leather strap. The exhibition caseback is marked “Orient Since 1950 75th Anniversary” and carries a serial number. Orient UK also describes a special anniversary box and quick-release strap on its product pages: RA-AC0027S and RA-AK0808S.
The Sun & Moon is the more involved and larger option: it is 1 mm wider and, at 14.2 mm, thicker than the classic anniversary Bambino under either published thickness figure for that watch. Its day/night display and day/date information also make the dial busier. The RA-AC0027S keeps to a simpler date display in a more compact case.

UK prices and availability are only a snapshot
When accessed, Orient UK listed the RA-AC0027S at £329.99 and the RA-AK0808S at £399.99; both pages showed “Not In Stock.” These are UK page observations, not worldwide prices or proof that either watch is unavailable everywhere. Prices and stock can change, and the release does not establish country-by-country allocations.

- Choose the RA-AC0027S if you want the more restrained anniversary design, a smaller case and a date display without the Sun & Moon complication.
- Consider the RA-AK0808S if the day/night disc and day/date display are central to the appeal and you are comfortable with a larger, thicker case.
- Look at the regular colours if dial colour is the priority and you do not specifically want the white anniversary design or its limited-edition caseback and strap package.
Both anniversary models are rated by Orient for 30 m water resistance. That is the maker’s specification; it should not be mistaken for an independent test result or a promise about performance in every use.
