Yes—there is now a legitimate metal link band for Pixel Watch. Ringke’s Metal One Band was reported as an early credible third-party option in October 2022; Google’s official stainless-steel Metal Links Band followed on June 20, 2023, at a launch price of $199.99. The “nearly here” framing is therefore historical, not a description of an upcoming product.
What arrived first?
Ringke Metal One Band
Chrome Unboxed reported on October 24, 2022 that Ringke had introduced its Pixel Watch-specific Metal One Band in silver and black. It was described as one of the first credible third-party metal-band attempts for Google’s watch. Ringke’s planned price was reported as $99, but that was a historical plan rather than a current price. Check the retailer listing for today’s stock, price, warranty terms and exact case-size compatibility before buying.
Google Metal Links Band
Google’s own stainless-steel alternative became available on June 20, 2023. In its announcement, Google’s Pixel Watch team said: “Metal Links bands are now available at the online Google Store and in Google retail locations for $199.99.” The band remains in Google’s accessory catalog, although regional inventory and pricing can change.

Google lists the corresponding 41 mm and 45 mm versions for Pixel Watch, Pixel Watch 2, Pixel Watch 3, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Watch 5. Match the band to the watch case diameter; a 41 mm band is not the correct connector for a 45 mm case, and vice versa.

How to choose the right size
- Check the size printed in your Pixel Watch specifications or order record: 41 mm and 45 mm use different connectors.
- Measure your wrist where the watch will sit. Google lists 137–203 mm for the 41 mm band and 140–215 mm for the 45 mm band.
- Choose the matching case-size band, then use the supplied sizing tool and links to set the clasp position.
- After adjustment, verify that both lugs sit flush with the watch case and that the clasp closes fully before wearing it outside.
Is the $200 Google band worth it?
It is the lower-risk choice if you want Google’s official connector, a documented sizing kit, stainless-steel construction and support through Google’s retail channel. Its main limitation is practical: Google explicitly says it is not sweat or water resistant, so use a sport-rated band for workouts or swimming.
Ringke is the value comparison because its reported planned price was about half Google’s launch price. However, the Ringke report is from 2022, and current stock, price, warranty coverage, materials, sizing tools and water resistance are not established by that report. Treat an available listing as a separate purchase decision, not as proof that every similarly named marketplace band fits safely.
