Its “Siri” function appears to relay commands to a paired iPhone, while its rear optical sensor provides basic spot heart-rate readings with no surviving independent accuracy test. It can make sense only as a retro gadget or a cheap, fully testable secondhand accessory—not for dependable health tracking, current phone support, swimming, or medical decisions.
What was the Q2 Siri smartwatch?
The Q2 Siri appeared under several overlapping names, including Q2 Siri, Q2 Smart Watch, Q2 Bluetooth 4.0 Smart Watch and Q2 Siri Heart Rate Measurement Smart Watch. It was an imported or lightly rebranded Chinese smartwatch rather than a major-brand product with a durable support ecosystem. One period review identified the manufacturer as unknown.
English-language coverage was published on May 13, 2016, when the watch was advertised with a round touchscreen, Bluetooth calling, notifications, a pedometer, sleep monitoring, voice recording, heart-rate measurement and iPhone Siri access. The period price was reported as $59.99, while a Spanish review listed a temporary $52 price. Those are historical figures, not current 2026 prices. (TheTechHacker, 2016; GizLogic)

Design, display and water resistance
The Q2 uses a conventional round-watch appearance, a 1.28-inch 240 × 240 display and interchangeable-looking watch faces. Period descriptions mention a leather-style band and approximately 60 g of weight. The case material is uncertain: one source says zinc alloy while another says plastic, so a listing photograph should not be treated as proof of a particular construction.
IP54 is the important practical limit. It generally indicates limited dust ingress protection and resistance to splashes, not immersion. Do not wear the Q2 in a shower, bath, pool or while swimming. A period review’s description of the watch as “completely waterproof” is technically misleading.

What “Siri” means on the Q2
It is a Bluetooth relay, not watchOS Siri
The available description points to the iPhone doing the actual Siri processing. The watch supplies a microphone, speaker or voice-control interface and sends the request over Bluetooth to an iPhone with Siri enabled. Reported uses included making calls, playing music, dictating messages and asking the phone for information. The Q2 was not Apple-certified, did not run watchOS and did not independently answer Siri requests.
That distinction matters: a Q2 cannot be assumed to know your heart rate, access Apple Health or perform an on-watch Siri conversation. It also requires the phone to remain nearby and connected.
Likely period setup
No surviving authoritative manual establishes a current, exact app path. The period workflow would generally have been:
- Charge and power on the watch.
- Enable Bluetooth on the phone and pair the watch for ordinary Bluetooth functions.
- Install or open the companion application if the particular version required one.
- Allow requested notification, contacts, microphone and call-audio permissions.
- On an iPhone, confirm that Siri is enabled.
- Use the watch’s voice-control button or long press to relay a command to the paired iPhone.
Modern iOS and Android releases may block the old companion app, notification service or Bluetooth profile even if basic pairing succeeds.

Heart-rate measurement: feature present, accuracy unproven
The sensor sits on the rear of the case against the wrist and appears to be a basic optical pulse sensor. That design can estimate pulse by detecting changes in reflected light, but a number on the screen is not evidence that the number is accurate.
The available reviews do not report comparison readings against a chest strap, pulse oximeter, clinical monitor or other reference device. They also do not establish continuous monitoring, heart-rate zones, high- or low-rate alerts, ECG, irregular-rhythm detection or medical certification. Treat the Q2 as a spot-reading gadget unless a specific surviving manual proves otherwise.
How to take a cautious reading
- Wear the watch snugly, with the rear sensor touching clean, dry skin just above the wrist bone.
- Keep your arm still and open the heart-rate function.
- Start a reading and wait for the displayed result.
- Repeat any implausible result after sitting quietly.
- Compare readings with a trusted, validated device if the result matters.
Loose fit, movement, sweat, water, dirt, hair, tattoos, cold skin, poor circulation, a low battery or a damaged sensor can all produce unstable values. Do not use a Q2 reading to diagnose illness, adjust medication or guide serious training. Seek medical care for symptoms rather than relying on this watch.
Other advertised functions
Period sources list the following features:
- Bluetooth phone calls and call notifications
- SMS, message and app notifications
- Pedometer and calorie estimates

- Sedentary reminders
- Alarm and vibration alerts
- Weather information
- Voice recording

- Music or audio-file support
These were advertised or reported capabilities in 2016. Their operation on a current phone depends on a compatible app, permissions and Bluetooth profiles that are no longer documented.

Battery and charging
The claimed 280 mAh battery took about two hours to charge. Period material described five to seven days in standby, while one review said up to seven days. Neither figure is a standardized modern-use test. Calls, frequent notifications, screen brightness, voice recording, repeated heart-rate checks, phone distance and battery age can reduce runtime substantially.
A unit sold in 2026 may have spent years unused or repeatedly charged. Lithium-ion aging can cause short runtime, swelling or unexpected shutdowns. Battery replacement parts and a safe resealing procedure may be difficult to obtain, and opening the case can eliminate whatever splash resistance it once had.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Compatibility and common failures
Android 4.4 and iOS 7.0 were the original compatibility claims, not a promise of support for current operating systems. Pairing is also not one single capability: call audio, the companion app, notifications and Siri relay may each fail independently.
| Symptom | Likely causes | Practical checks |
|---|---|---|
| Siri does not respond | Phone disconnected; Siri disabled; microphone or call-audio permission blocked; obsolete app or Bluetooth profile | Test Siri on the phone, keep the phone nearby, confirm permissions and re-pair. A failure does not prove the watch lacks a microphone. |
| Heart-rate result is implausible | Poor fit, movement, sweat, dirt, cold skin, low battery or weak sensor algorithm | Clean and dry the sensor, wear it snugly, sit still, repeat and compare with a validated device. |
| Notifications do not arrive | Revoked permissions, restricted background operation, wrong Bluetooth profile, unavailable companion app or limited notification support | Check notification and background permissions and test the app before relying on the watch. |
| Battery drains quickly | Aged cell, heavy Bluetooth use, frequent alerts or display activity | Ask the seller for a runtime demonstration; assume the original standby claim does not apply to a used watch. |
| Water damage occurs | IP54 was mistaken for waterproofing | Keep it away from immersion; splash resistance is not a swimming rating. |
Is the Q2 Siri worth buying in 2026?
Reasons to consider one
- Round retro styling and a leather-style band
- Very low historical cost
- Basic Bluetooth calls and notifications, if demonstrated working
- Unusual phone-assisted Siri control for a low-cost 2016 watch
- Occasional, non-critical step counting or pulse readings
Reasons to avoid one
- It is roughly a decade old with no verified current manufacturer support.
- The companion app and modern notification compatibility are uncertain.
- No independent heart-rate accuracy validation has been located.
- IP54 is unsuitable for swimming or immersion.
- Used batteries may be badly degraded and difficult to replace.
- There is no documented ECG, GPS, cellular service, emergency feature or Apple Health-style integration.
- Historical $52 and $59.99 prices do not establish present value.
If buying secondhand, ask the seller to demonstrate charging, battery runtime, Bluetooth pairing, call audio, notifications and a heart-rate reading. Buy only with returns available; otherwise a failed app or dead battery can make the watch unusable.

Q2 Siri versus current alternatives
Readers seeking dependable current support should compare the Q2 with actively maintained products rather than other abandoned 2016 watches.
| Need | More suitable direction | Why it differs from Q2 |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone, Siri and health integration | Apple Watch | Active watchOS and support ecosystem; Apple documents heart-rate views and Siri health queries on supported models. |
| Android smartwatch ecosystem | Samsung Galaxy Watch | Current manufacturer-supported software and Samsung Health integration on compatible models. |
| Low-cost steps, sleep and heart-rate tracking | Current Fitbit, Xiaomi, Amazfit or Garmin fitness tracker | Look for a current companion app, firmware support, warranty and a clearly documented water-resistance rating. |
| Retro collecting | Secondhand Q2 Siri | Accept uncertain battery life, software support and health accuracy; verify the exact unit before paying. |
Current prices for these alternatives vary by model and sale period and should be checked on the manufacturers’ official stores. The Q2 has no verified official 2026 sales channel to use as a reliable price comparison.
Final verdict
The Q2 Siri is best understood as a 2016-era Bluetooth watch with a phone-assisted Siri shortcut and an unvalidated optical pulse sensor. It may be fun as a vintage gadget or acceptable for basic, non-critical notifications when a seller proves that the particular unit still pairs and holds a charge. It is not a sensible choice for medical monitoring, accurate heart-rate zones, swimming, dependable modern notifications or Apple Watch-style Siri and health integration.
