Rado’s “fully anatomical” description is a design metaphor: the Anatom Skeleton pairs the collection’s sculpted, wrist-following case shape with an exposed automatic movement, turning its mechanical components into part of the watch’s visual identity. The launch model is reference R10206109, powered by calibre R808.
What Rado means by “fully anatomical”
In its announcement dated 29 January 2026, Rado used “fully anatomical” to describe the way the Anatom Skeleton brings the watch’s visible mechanism into its body-like exterior design. The brand likens the exposed cogs, springs, plates and bridges to organs, vessels, bones and ligaments. That language explains the design concept; it is not a technical claim about anatomy. Rado’s announcement presents the skeletonised watch as a new expression of the Anatom collection’s curved, sculpted form.
How the Anatom Skeleton is designed
The launch example uses a matt plasma-grey aesthetic. Rado lists high-tech ceramic for the bezel, crown and clasp cover, paired with a grey rubber strap. A cylindrical sapphire crystal with grey metallisation frames the movement, while a suspended white minute track and cast Super-LumiNova blocks provide the time-reading markers.
The movement’s anthracite and yellow-gold-coloured components contrast with nickel- and ruthenium-coloured plates. Rado also calls out vertical brushing on the dial, horizontal brushing on the plates and bevelled crystal edges. These are manufacturer-described materials and finishes, rather than independent findings about comfort or durability.
