Preorders opened that day, and general availability began July 24, 2024. Samsung still lists the ring on selected regional stores, but current price and stock depend on market, size and color; $399.99 is its launch price, not a verified 2026 checkout price.

Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement named Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, Amazon, AT&T and Best Buy as launch sales channels. Those were launch channels, not a guarantee that each retailer has stock now. The global announcement set out market-specific rollout details.
Is the Galaxy Ring still available?
As of August 18, 2026, Samsung continued to list the first-generation Galaxy Ring on selected regional online stores. Its U.S. product page, U.S. purchase listing and U.K. listing are useful starting points. A live product page does not mean every size and finish is in stock, and Samsung-direct inventory can differ from retailer inventory. Confirm the exact configuration and checkout price before ordering.
Colors, sizes and the sizing process
At launch, Samsung offered Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold in sizes 5 through 13. It later expanded the range to sizes 5 through 15 in supported markets. The size expansion announcement does not mean every size or color is available everywhere.

Because a ring cannot be resized like a conventional watch band, use Samsung’s sizing flow before confirming the device. Samsung says its sizing kit is shipped before the buyer confirms the ring size; see the U.S. ordering page for the current process. Try the sample ring on the finger you intend to use and wear it long enough to judge comfort, including as your finger changes through the day. Confirm that your chosen size and color are selectable before final payment, and review the current return terms.
Does it need a subscription or a Samsung phone?
Samsung advertised Galaxy Ring health data and insights through Samsung Health without a separate Galaxy Ring subscription. That avoids a recurring ring-membership fee for the advertised Samsung Health integration, but the product is not platform-independent.

At launch, Samsung specified an Android phone running Android 11 or later, more than 1.5 GB of phone memory, the Galaxy Wearable app, Samsung Health version 6.27 or later, and a Samsung account. These are launch requirements; app versions and supported features can change. Android compatibility does not guarantee the same feature set on every phone: functions may depend on the paired device, country, carrier and model. Check Samsung’s compatibility and feature details for your setup. Samsung’s stated Android requirements exclude iPhone users.
What the Galaxy Ring tracks and how it compares with a watch
Samsung’s launch materials describe sleep duration and analysis, sleep score, movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate, respiratory rate, skin temperature, cycle tracking and Energy Score among the ring’s Samsung Health features. Snoring analysis has phone and setup requirements. These are wellness insights, not medical diagnoses: Samsung says the information is not intended to detect, diagnose, treat, monitor or manage a medical condition.

The ring is a discreet option for passive and overnight tracking, but it does not provide a watch display, notifications, GPS or on-device workout controls. A Galaxy Watch is the more suitable category for readers who want those interactive smartwatch functions; a ring can also complement a Galaxy Watch for overnight wear.

Who is it a good fit for?
- Consider it if you already use a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone and Samsung Health, want passive sleep and wellness tracking, and prefer not to pay a separate ring membership.
- Consider it alongside a Galaxy Watch if you want a screen and smartwatch controls by day but a less conspicuous wearable overnight.
- Look elsewhere if you use an iPhone, want broad cross-platform support, or need GPS, notifications and workout interaction on the wearable itself.
- Do not buy it as a medical monitor. Its health-related features are wellness tools, not a substitute for clinical care.
What about a Galaxy Ring 2?
Samsung has indicated that a future Galaxy Ring product is in development, but the sources available here do not establish a confirmed successor price or release date. Reporting has discussed future plans, including Android Authority’s coverage and Tom’s Guide’s report. Treat retailer listings or speculation about a successor separately from Samsung-confirmed details; the $399.99 figure belongs to the original ring’s U.S. launch.
