Samsung released the 47mm titanium smartwatch as Galaxy Watch Ultra, alongside Galaxy Watch7. The leak correctly identified the major hardware story—3nm five-core Exynos silicon, 32GB storage for the 2024 generation, a 590mAh battery, dual-frequency GPS, 3,000-nit brightness and 10ATM durability—while its naming, colors and some generation-specific details require qualification.
SamMobile reported the leak on June 6, 2024, citing an Android Headlines report (source). Samsung has since released a later Ultra refresh, so current pages showing 64GB should not be used as proof of the original 2024 launch specification.
What the leak claimed
The report described both the conventional Galaxy Watch7 and a larger, rugged model referred to before launch as Galaxy Watch7 Ultra. The following are reported leak figures, not prelaunch guarantees.

What Samsung later confirmed
| Leaked claim | Outcome |
|---|---|
| 47mm Ultra | Confirmed. Samsung lists the Ultra as a 47mm watch. |
| Titanium construction | Confirmed. Samsung specifies Grade 4 titanium. |
| 590mAh battery | Confirmed for the original 2024 Ultra. |
| 3nm processor | Confirmed. Samsung’s catalog material identifies the Exynos W1000 as a five-core 3nm processor. |
| 32GB storage | Confirmed for the original 2024 generation; a later Ultra refresh is listed with 64GB. |
| 3,000-nit display | Confirmed as a peak “up to” specification. |
| Dual-frequency GPS | Confirmed as L1+L5 positioning. |
| 10ATM, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H | Confirmed by Samsung. |
| Official name “Galaxy Watch7 Ultra” | Not confirmed. Samsung used the separate retail name Galaxy Watch Ultra. |
Samsung’s official product information is at Galaxy Watch Ultra. Its U.S. materials list the original Ultra as an LTE product, rather than a separately offered Bluetooth-only Ultra.
The name changed
“Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra” was a logical leak-era shorthand because the watch was expected to launch beside Galaxy Watch7. Samsung instead made “Ultra” a separate product family: Galaxy Watch Ultra. Search results may therefore mix the unofficial leak name, Galaxy Watch7, the 2024 Galaxy Watch Ultra and the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra refresh.

Galaxy Watch Ultra versus Galaxy Watch7
| Area | Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024) | Galaxy Watch7 |
|---|---|---|
| Size and materials | 47mm, Grade 4 titanium | 40mm or 44mm, Armor Aluminum |
| Battery | 590mAh | Launch leak: 300mAh (40mm) or 425mAh (44mm); current Samsung comparison listings show 325mAh and 445mAh for corresponding configurations |
| Brightness | Up to 3,000 nits | The launch leak said up to 2,000 nits; current comparison material also lists up to 3,000 nits, so the 2,000-nit figure is best treated as a launch-era claim |
| Water and rugged ratings | 10ATM, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H | 5ATM, IP68 and MIL-STD-810H |
| GPS | L1+L5 dual-frequency | L1+L5 dual-frequency |
| Connectivity | LTE positioning in U.S. launch materials | Bluetooth and LTE versions |
| Controls | Three physical buttons, including a dedicated Quick Button | Conventional Galaxy Watch controls |
| Original U.S. MSRP | $649.99 for LTE | $299.99–$379.99, depending on size and Bluetooth/LTE configuration |
The original U.S. prices come from Samsung’s December 2024 MSRP file (PDF). MSRP is not the same as a current sale price.
What the leak got wrong or left unclear
Storage is a model-year issue
The 32GB figure belongs to the 2024 leak and original-generation context. Samsung’s current Ultra page can show 64GB for a later refresh, while Galaxy Watch7 remains listed with 32GB. Samsung’s 2025 purchase page is separate: Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).

Battery figures differ by source and generation
The leak gave Watch7 capacities of 300mAh and 425mAh. Current Samsung comparison material lists 325mAh and 445mAh. Those figures should be attributed to their respective launch or current configurations rather than treated as a simple correction. The Ultra’s 590mAh figure is consistent for the original model.
Color names were unstable
Prelaunch coverage used several names, including beige, silver, gray and white. Do not assume those labels describe the same SKU or the same year. The 2025 listing includes its own color variants, such as Titanium White, at Samsung’s product page.

- Next-Generation 3nm Processor: Exynos W1000 chipset delivers significantly faster performance and smoother app navigation.
Connectivity wording varied
Leak reports differed over whether the Ultra was simply LTE or Bluetooth-plus-LTE. Samsung’s U.S. MSRP documentation identifies the original Ultra as LTE; regional configurations should be checked before purchase.

The important change was not just a newer processor. Samsung combined a larger case and battery with titanium construction, a higher water-resistance rating, brighter peak output, dual-frequency positioning, LTE and a dedicated Quick Button. Those choices position the watch for long outdoor sessions and users who want cellular connectivity without a phone.

A 3nm chip does not guarantee a particular battery-life gain, and a 3,000-nit peak is not a brightness level the panel holds continuously. Samsung rates the current Ultra material at up to 60 hours with always-on display enabled and up to 100 hours in Power Saving Mode; GPS, LTE, workouts, sleep tracking and display settings can reduce runtime. “Up to” figures are usage-profile estimates.
Who should buy which model?
Choose the Ultra if
- You want the 590mAh battery, 47mm display and titanium case.
- You regularly use outdoor GPS and can benefit from L1+L5 positioning.
- You need the Ultra’s 10ATM rating and rugged construction.
- You want LTE built in and accept a larger, heavier watch.
Choose Galaxy Watch7 if
- You need a 40mm case or prefer the smaller 44mm option.
- You want a lower original MSRP or a Bluetooth-only configuration.
- You prefer a lighter, more conventional Galaxy Watch design.
- You do not need the Ultra’s battery, 10ATM rating or Quick Button.
LTE service can require a compatible carrier plan and recurring fees. Water-resistance ratings are not permission for unrestricted diving or every high-pressure activity; follow Samsung’s usage restrictions. Health functions such as ECG or sleep-apnea features can depend on a compatible Galaxy phone, regional approval and software availability. Samsung says Galaxy Watch works with other Android phones, but the fullest feature set may require a Samsung Galaxy phone and Samsung apps.
Verdict
The “Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra” leak was unusually close on the major hardware facts. Samsung delivered the 47mm titanium body, 590mAh battery, 3nm five-core platform, 3,000-nit display, dual-frequency GPS and 10ATM durability. It changed the most visible detail—the name—and left color, connectivity wording and storage vulnerable to source and model-year confusion. The accurate retrospective description is therefore: the leaked Ultra became Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, and most of its headline specifications were real.
