Kaspersky ICS-CERT later reported that the AlphV/Black Cat ransomware group claimed responsibility and shared screenshots of purported stolen files. Seiko’s notices did not identify the group, and the available sources do not establish a new leak in 2026.

Who said the data was being leaked?
Seiko’s notices confirmed ransomware and a data breach but did not name a ransomware group. Kaspersky ICS-CERT’s 2024 retrospective says AlphV/Black Cat claimed responsibility on August 21, 2023, and shared screenshots of purported stolen files. That is a claim attributed to the group by Kaspersky, not a forensic attribution made by Seiko. The retrospective does not establish the contents of every file depicted in those screenshots.
