Samsung’s Galaxy Ring sizing kit contains nonfunctional sample rings that help you choose a size before the real ring ships. Each sample is made for measuring fit—not testing the ring’s health features—and Samsung recommends wearing your preferred size for more than 24 hours, including overnight. Here’s what to look for and how to use the kit without rushing into the wrong size.
What’s inside the Galaxy Ring sizing kit?
Expect a set of plastic sample rings, size markings, inner raised points that approximate where the real ring’s sensors sit, and packaging or a holder to keep the samples organized. Samsung describes the samples as inoperable and intended only for measuring ring size; they are not miniature electronic versions of the Galaxy Ring. Samsung’s unboxing description explains the samples’ measuring purpose.
The current U.S. Galaxy Ring range is listed as whole sizes 5 through 15 on Samsung’s support page and product page. There is conflicting older wording: some Samsung product-page copy and its sizing video describe nine samples, sizes 5 through 13. Samsung announced the addition of sizes 14 and 15 in January 2025, expanding the range to 5–15. Check the live order flow for the sizes supplied in your market rather than assuming the older nine-sample description is current.
The raised points and orientation mark help you position the sample as you would the real ring. They do not indicate that any sensor is working: the kit has no battery, Bluetooth, health tracking, charging contacts, or functioning electronics.

How to order the kit through Samsung in the U.S.
On Samsung’s U.S. purchase flow, the sizing kit is associated with a Galaxy Ring order. Labels, shipping details, and any promotion can change by market, stock, retailer, or date.
- Open Samsung’s Galaxy Ring purchase page and select the color you want.
- Under size, choose “I don’t know my size.”
- Complete checkout. Samsung’s flow sends the sizing kit first.
- Try the samples, then use the size-confirmation email or the link in My Orders to submit your final size.
- Wait for Samsung to fulfill the ring in the size you confirmed. The kit does not report your choice automatically, and delivery timing depends on order and stock conditions.
Samsung’s sizing instructions describe this confirmation process. If the email does not arrive, check spam and your Samsung account’s order page; contact Samsung support if the order has no size-confirmation option.
If you are buying through another retailer or purchasing a standalone kit, check that seller’s current shipping, size-confirmation, return, and exchange terms. For example, Best Buy lists a separate Samsung Galaxy Ring sizing kit; that listing does not establish that its purchase price will be credited toward a ring.

How to test a sample size
Use the finger you actually plan to wear it on
Fit varies by finger and between hands. Put the sample on the exact finger and hand intended for the Galaxy Ring, rather than relying on a size you wear for conventional jewelry. Samsung says the ring can be worn on any finger; its guidance favors the index finger for some uses, but does not make that finger mandatory for every feature. Keep the sensor side underneath
Orient the sample so its inner raised points sit against the underside of your finger. Samsung’s instructions say the indicator line should face your palm. The sample should stay oriented during ordinary movement instead of spinning until the raised points shift to the side.
Wear it for more than 24 hours, including sleep
A few minutes of trying on samples will not reveal how the fit changes over a full day. Finger circumference can vary with time of day, sleep, heat or cold, exercise, hydration, salt intake, and hand position. Samsung specifically recommends wearing the best-fitting sample for more than 24 hours, including overnight. Its sizing instructions explain why a longer test matters.

During that period, notice how the sample feels at rest and while moving through a normal day. You can check it during a walk or workout, meal preparation, and hand washing, as long as it remains comfortable. Remove it if it causes pain, numbness, discoloration, or swelling; do not force it off. Gizmodo’s sizing coverage also cautions against rushing the sizing decision.

The sample should slide over your knuckle with manageable resistance, stay in place during ordinary movement, and keep its sensor markers underneath your finger. It should remain comfortable overnight and come off without force, even when your fingers are at their largest during the test. A secure fit matters for sensor contact, but a painful or difficult-to-remove ring is not a good fit.

Try the next smaller size or another finger.
- Too tight: It causes pain, numbness, discoloration, swelling, or becomes difficult to remove. Stop wearing it and let any swelling subside; do not force it.
- Between two sizes: Wear each candidate through a full day and night on the intended finger. Favor the one that stays secure during activity without becoming painful as your finger changes size. If neither works well, test another finger rather than forcing a compromise.
Samsung’s listed sizes are whole sizes, not half sizes. An independent SELF review describes one tester’s experience of choosing between a slightly snug and slightly loose option; that is an individual report, not a universal sizing rule.

Why your usual ring size may not transfer
The Galaxy Ring is not adjustable, and its internal sensor housing changes how it sits and feels compared with conventional jewelry. Samsung recommends its own sizing kit rather than relying solely on a regular ring size. Samsung’s sizing guidance explains the reason. Your usual size can be a rough point of comparison, but it cannot replace testing the sample on the intended finger.
How closely does the sample match the real ring?
The kit is designed to help establish size, not reproduce the complete feel of the titanium ring. Plastic and titanium can differ in weight and surface friction, and the tester’s edges or construction may feel different from the finished ring and its inner surface. An independent SELF review discusses the feel of the ring relative to ordinary rings. Some owners have also reported that their finished ring felt looser or tighter than the plastic sample, including in these Reddit comments and another owner discussion. Those accounts are anecdotal; they do not establish a universal mismatch or a sizing defect.
Treat the sample as a practical sizing reference, not a guarantee of identical material feel or a promise that the final ring will fit perfectly in every circumstance. If the delivered ring feels wrong, check the return or exchange policy for the seller and region before ordering; terms are not necessarily the same across Samsung and other retailers.

Because the samples are nonfunctional, wearing one cannot tell you whether the real ring’s electronics or services will meet your needs. The kit cannot test:
- Sleep, heart-rate, or temperature tracking
- Battery life, charging, or charging-case behavior
- Gesture controls or Samsung Health compatibility
- Water resistance or comfort under the finished ring’s weight and surface finish
The purpose is to assess size, security, orientation, and comfort over time—not the Galaxy Ring’s performance as a device.
