The Tissot PRX UFO Robot Grendizer 50th Anniversary is the black, limited-edition model, reference T137.407.33.051.01—not the blue-dial PRX Grendizer introduced in 2024. Tissot lists a 40mm case, an automatic movement with up to 80 hours of power reserve, and a production limit of 1,975 pieces. The official US page lists it at $1,100 and currently marks it sold out in the United States; both price and availability can change.
What is the Tissot PRX UFO Robot Grendizer?
It is a special PRX collaboration between Tissot and Go Nagai, creator of UFO Robot Grendizer. The black 50th-anniversary watch commemorates a character first created in 1975. Tissot says the anniversary edition follows its original PRX Grendizer release in 2024.
The model combines the PRX’s tonneau-shaped case and integrated-bracelet look with character details drawn from the anime: a sculpted Grendizer bust on the dial, a Harken-inspired seconds hand, and an engraved rotor visible through the transparent caseback. Tissot also describes an engraving hidden inside the bezel and presents the watch in a Spazer-inspired UFO capsule.
What are the anniversary model’s specifications?
These are the manufacturer’s published specifications, not results from independent testing.

How does the black anniversary edition differ from the blue 2024 PRX Grendizer?
The black watch is a distinct anniversary edition, rather than simply a new colorway with all details carried over. Tissot’s published information identifies the anniversary reference and limit separately; it does not establish that the editions share a reference, production count, price, or current availability.

The original emphasizes Grendizer’s blue-and-yellow palette and displays the series title on the flange. The anniversary version takes a darker approach, with black PVD and a gold-tone character reference, while placing one inscription out of sight inside the bezel. Tissot’s 2024 announcement also connects the collaboration to the PRX’s 1970s heritage; the anniversary version’s limited quantity explicitly marks the series milestone.
Why is the edition limited to 1,975 pieces?
Tissot says the number pays tribute to the series’ 50th anniversary: Go Nagai created UFO Robot Grendizer in 1975, and the anniversary model is limited to 1,975 watches. The figure is the manufacturer’s stated production limit, not an independently verified count of pieces already sold or remaining.

What do the price and sold-out notice mean for buyers?
The official US product page lists $1,100, a two-year warranty, and “Currently sold out in the United States.” That describes the US page when checked, not worldwide stock or a permanent discontinuation. Check Tissot’s page for your market and confirm current availability with an authorized seller before relying on a quoted price or stock status.
For identification, search by the full model name or reference T137.407.33.051.01. A marketplace listing alone does not establish that a seller is authorized or that a particular watch is available at Tissot’s listed price.
