The five watches below are the film-character identifications in Time+Tide’s 22 February 2020 list—not a full record of Tom Hardy’s personal collection or public appearances. The list does not explain a ranking method, so these are best read as five notable screen watches rather than a ranked verdict on which is “best.”
The five watches and the films
| Film | Character | Watch identified |
|---|---|---|
| This Means War (2012) | Tuck, a CIA operative | Christian Dior Chiffre Rouge |
| Locke (2013) | Ivan Locke | TAG Heuer Aquaracer |
| Legend (2015) | Reggie Kray | 18k gold Omega with a diamond bezel |
| Dunkirk (2017) | Farrier, an RAF pilot | Omega “RAF” CK2129 |
| Venom (2018) | Eddie Brock | Bremont U-2/51-JET |
These identifications come from James Robinson’s five-watch feature for Time+Tide, published 22 February 2020. The entries identify models or broad descriptions, not always exact references; the feature does not provide reference numbers for the Dior or TAG Heuer watches.
What makes each screen watch distinctive
Christian Dior Chiffre Rouge in This Means War
Hardy’s Tuck wears a Christian Dior Chiffre Rouge. Time+Tide draws attention to the watch’s crown guard, but does not identify a particular reference. The film identification is useful for naming the collection; it is not enough to pin down the exact configuration.
TAG Heuer Aquaracer in Locke
In Locke, Hardy plays Ivan Locke, whose drive and phone calls make time especially consequential to the film. The watch listed for him is a TAG Heuer Aquaracer. No exact Aquaracer reference is established by the identification, so a modern or vintage Aquaracer found by searching that name alone should not automatically be assumed to be the screen watch.

Reggie Kray’s estate Omega in Legend
The Omega in Legend is a specific historical object, not simply a model name to shop for. Time+Tide says Hardy borrowed watches and jewellery from the Kray estates, including Reggie Kray’s original 18k gold Omega. Esquire’s 30 December 2025 feature describes the same estate watch as vintage, with a diamond-encrusted bezel, champagne dial, Roman numerals and textured bracelet, and also attributes it to Reggie’s estate: Esquire’s Tom Hardy watch feature. Those details describe the object associated with the film; they do not establish a standard current-production Omega reference.
Omega “RAF” CK2129 in Dunkirk
Hardy’s Farrier wears an Omega identified as the “RAF” CK2129. Time+Tide connects the watch to a plot moment: after gunfire destroys the plane’s fuel gauge, the watch becomes useful to the pilot. That narrative detail does not, by itself, establish additional military-issue history or technical specifications for the watch.
Rank #2

- 3 chronograph sub-dials
- Round shiny gold metal alloy case 46mm
- Matte black silicone strap with buckle clasp

Bremont U-2/51-JET in Venom
Eddie Brock’s watch is identified as a Bremont U-2/51-JET. Esquire’s 2025 feature independently names the same model in connection with Venom. The screen identification supports the model name, not a claim that Hardy personally endorses Bremont.

The watch Hardy wears in Inception is unidentified
Costume designer Jeffrey Kurland said of Eames’s antique watch: “I chose the watch from a collection presented by the prop master. Unfortunately I do not remember the maker at this time.” His answer was published in Clothes on Film’s follow-up costume Q&A on 26 April 2017. On this evidence, the maker is unknown; a visual resemblance is not a confirmed identification.
Rank #3
- Analog watch with black dial
- 3 chronograph sub-dials
- Round matte black metal alloy case 53mm
- Adjustable black silicone strap with buckle
- Bracelet length 250mm
The Dark Knight Rises Reverso is Bruce Wayne’s
A report from WatchPro USA identifies a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Date worn by Bruce Wayne, played by Christian Bale—not Hardy’s Bane. See WatchPro USA’s 26 July 2012 report. It should not be included as one of Hardy’s screen watches on that basis.

How to use the list when looking for a watch
- For a searchable modern collection name: The Aquaracer and U-2/51-JET have specific model-family names in the cited identifications. A currently offered watch with one of those names may differ in reference and details from the film prop.
- For a historically specific piece: The Legend Omega is attributed to Reggie Kray’s estate and described as vintage. Treat it as an individual estate watch, not as an ordinary current retail model.
- For precise screen matching: The Dior and Aquaracer identifications lack exact references in the 2020 list. The broader names alone are not sufficient to verify every visual detail of a match.
