How TUDOR frames the design’s history
TUDOR presents the Black Bay Chrono as part of its chronograph lineage. The company identifies the Oysterdate as its first chronograph, launched in 1970, and points to blue-dial predecessors: the Oysterdate Chronograph “Montecarlo” in 1971, the Prince Oysterdate Chronograph “Big Block” in 1976, the Prince Date “Small Block” in 1997, and the Heritage Chrono Blue in 2013. Is the Black Bay Chrono Blue a boutique exclusive?
TUDOR labels the model a “Boutique Edition,” and its official product page directs readers to retailer information. Hodinkee reported select-boutique availability at launch on August 28, 2024.
