Geneva’s 2024 watch calendar had two distinct headline gatherings. Watches and Wonders was the concentrated Palexpo salon in April, followed months later by Geneva Watch Days, a pavilion-and-showroom event spread across the city. Their dates, participation figures and visitor experience were different, so they are best treated as complementary events rather than interchangeable names.

Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024
Dates, venue and operating pattern
The salon opened at Palexpo on Tuesday 9 April and ran through Monday 15 April. The first four days were reserved for professionals. Public opening days were Saturday 13 April, Sunday 14 April and Monday 15 April.
How many brands exhibited?
The later official April press kit counted 54 exhibiting maisons. A 28 September 2023 announcement had confirmed 55 brands before the event, so 55 is the planned pre-event figure and 54 is the subsequent event figure. They should not be treated as contradictory counts from the same moment.
What the public could do
Public access extended beyond the Palexpo halls. The free In The City programme brought watchmaking activities into Geneva, including a Watchmaking Village at the Pont de la Machine. This made the April gathering both a professional product-launch salon and a city-facing cultural programme.

What was at the central pavilion?
At Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, more than 100 exceptional timepieces from the 52 participating brands were presented. Free guided tours departed from the pavilion, visited several brand showrooms and concluded at the headquarters of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH). That route gave visitors an organised way to navigate an event that was intentionally spread across Geneva.
FHH programme and exhibition
The FHH partnership added watch reviews, guided tours, craftsmanship demonstrations, an FHH Quiz Brunch, the “Man & Machine” conference and the “Watches and Talents” exhibition. FHH said the exhibition had been well received by more than 7,500 locals and tourists since its early-June opening and remained open through 2 September.

Watches and Wonders versus Geneva Watch Days
Timing
Watches and Wonders was the spring launch week in April. Geneva Watch Days was the late-summer gathering at the turn of August and September. Anyone planning a Geneva trip around new releases therefore faced two separate seasonal opportunities, not one continuous fair.
Venue and movement
Watches and Wonders concentrated the principal experience inside Palexpo and added a defined city programme. Geneva Watch Days required movement between a central pavilion and participating brand locations, with guided tours providing one structured way to make that transition.
Rank #4
- Features a classic big dial and quartz movement with stable quality. High hardness coated glass mirror is wear-resistant, scratch-proof, Butterfly double buckle ensures comfortable weara
- Mirror diameter is 1.6 inches (41 mm), case thickness is 0.43 inches (11 mm), and band length is 7 inches (180 mm). The length of the watch can be adjusted, and it weighs 132 g(4.65 ounces). Maximum applicable to about an 8-9" wrist
- Luminous function can be activated by illuminating the watch under strong light for 30-40 seconds, providing a new visual experience at night. Manual includes detailed instructions for adjusting time and calendar
- Fashionable and elegant design for any man who appreciates quality and style. Versatile and stylish men's watches are suitable for any occasion, including parties, work, daily life and dating
- Water resistance for daily life, waterproof to 100 feet (30 m), generally resistant to splashing or brief submersion, but not suitable for swimming or bathing
Audience and access
The April salon used a clear trade-first sequence followed by a three-day, ticketed public opening. Geneva Watch Days was structured more openly across its pavilion, showrooms and tours for professionals, media, retailers, collectors and the general public.
Editorial character
In practical terms, Watches and Wonders functioned as the concentrated, multi-maison launch platform. Geneva Watch Days offered a more distributed discovery route, particularly useful for independent, specialist and high-horology names, while the FHH programme supplied interpretation through demonstrations, talks and curated tours.
