The Aevig Thule is a 1970s-inspired titanium sports watch offered as a three-hand Automatic with a date or as a GMT with a separately adjustable second-time-zone hand. The two share the same reported 39 mm case, but differ in movement, dial markings and function. Here is how the versions compare, and what reviewers said about the distinctive TV-shaped dial and wear.
What separates the Automatic from the GMT?
The Automatic is the simpler time-and-date option. The GMT adds a 24-hour scale and a dedicated hand that can be set independently of local time. The figures below are those reported by Fratello Watches in February 2022; they are review-era specifications, not verified current specifications.

Fratello reported those list prices in 2022. They are historical launch-era figures, not current prices; the article also mentioned temporary pre-order prices of €649 and €919 respectively, which likewise should not be read as live offers. How the GMT setting works
Fratello describes the first crown position as setting the date and GMT hand, and the second as setting local time, with the second-time-zone indication following. The GMT hand can therefore be adjusted separately from local time. Worn & Wound’s coverage also describes the GMT hand as independently adjustable.

A 1970s TV dial in a titanium sports-watch case
The Thule’s defining feature is its rounded rectangular, or TV-shaped, dial, a design cue associated with 1970s watches. Fratello describes the modern titanium model as a “charming homage to the TV-dial watches of the 1970s.” The line was reported in blue and brown dial options. On the GMT, a printed 24-hour scale and the additional GMT hand distinguish the display; the Automatic has a date window instead.
Fratello reports applied markers integrated with the rehaut, Super-LumiNova C3 on the main hands and markers, and a flat sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating. Those are details from 2022 coverage rather than a current manufacturer specification sheet. How reviewers say it wears—and who may like the design
Fratello’s reviewer described the titanium watches as light, comfortable and easy to wear. That is an individual review impression, not a universal fit guarantee: wrist shape and personal preference affect how a 39 mm-wide, 48.5 mm-long case feels. The TV dial is also a deliberate style choice rather than a conventional round sports-watch look. Fratello notes that it will suit a distinct audience; buyers who prefer familiar dial shapes may find it less appealing.
For straps, Watch Clicker reports standard 20 mm lugs and mentions single-pass NATO-style straps as an option. What the published prices and specifications do—and don’t—tell you
The available figures describe the watches as covered in 2021–2022. Fratello’s reviewer wrote, “When it comes to value for money, it is hard to fault the watches.” That is the reviewer’s assessment, not an objective measure of value. The historical prices and specifications cannot establish what a Thule costs now, whether either version is currently in production, or where it is in stock. Confirm current details with a seller before making a purchase.
