#1 Best Overall
- S9 SiP Processor: Advanced processor improves overall performance and enables on-device Siri functionality.
Series 9 uses Ion-X glass on aluminum models and sapphire on stainless steel models. Ultra 2 has a flat sapphire crystal. Apple lists the Ultra 2 case as 49 mm wide, 44 mm across, and 12 mm deep. Case material and crystal choice affect the feel and finish; neither guarantees that a watch will avoid damage.
Display and outdoor use
Apple rates Series 9 for up to 2,000 nits of maximum brightness and Ultra 2 for up to 3,000 nits. Ultra 2’s larger display and brighter rating may suit users who spend time outdoors, but the rating alone does not establish readability in every condition.
