Apple’s current watch store lists the newer Ultra 3 from $700. That is $111 more than the $589 refurbished Ultra 2 listing, but it is not a like-for-like comparison: one is refurbished previous-generation hardware and the other is a current-generation starting price. Apple’s “from” price does not mean every Ultra 3 configuration costs $700 or is available in every location.

Is $589 a good deal?
It is a meaningful $110 reduction from the reference price Apple displayed for this refurbished configuration. It is most compelling if you specifically want the 49mm titanium Ultra, extended battery-life targets, outdoor GPS, or its water and diving capabilities. The listing does not establish that $589 is the lowest price ever, and the reference price is not a promise that every retailer sells the watch for $699.
If you mainly want notifications, everyday fitness tracking, or sleep tracking, an Ultra may be larger and more expensive than you need. Apple’s comparison page lists the Series 10 from $399 and Apple Watch SE from $249; those are starting prices, not necessarily the price of every configuration. Consider the lower-cost models if you do not need the Ultra’s rugged construction, display, or outdoor and water features.
