That does not make it “unbelievably comfortable” for everyone: owner accounts vary, and fit, wrist shape, watch, and expectations all affect the result. It is also worth knowing that the Classic is sailcloth-textured synthetic material with a leather underside—not woven sailcloth.
What is an Artem Classic strap made of?
The Classic is a padded strap with an embossed, sailcloth-style synthetic upper and a leather underside. The texture gives it a sailcloth look, but the product description does not identify the upper as actual sailcloth. See Artem’s Classic product page for the brand’s current specifications.
That construction matters when comparing straps: the upper’s appearance is only one part of what touches your wrist. The leather underside, padding, thickness, and flexibility also shape the fit and feel.
Does it feel comfortable, or stiff?
Artem’s FAQ says, “Out of the box, it has a structured feel.” The brand adds: “After a few days of regular wear, it softens and begins to mould naturally to your wrist without losing that structure.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not a guaranteed break-in schedule or result for every wearer.

How to check whether it will fit your watch and wrist
Artem lists the Classic Standard for standard lug widths from 18 to 23 mm. Choose the strap width to match the distance between your watch’s lugs rather than guessing from the model name. The product page lists quick-release spring bars.
Length is a separate fit question. Artem’s sizing guide offers XS, Standard, and XL lengths with wrist-measurement ranges. Measure your wrist and compare it with the current guide; a watch model alone cannot tell you which strap length will fit. Check both width and length before ordering using Artem’s strap-size guide.

Can you swim with the Classic?
Artem says occasional exposure to water and sweat is acceptable, but the Classic is not intended for prolonged or repeated immersion. If you swim frequently, the brand points buyers toward its HydroFlex option instead. Occasional splash resistance should not be read as approval for routine swimming.
