What made the Year of the Dragon edition different?
Arken introduced the watch as its first limited edition, initially available to attendees of the inaugural British Watchmakers’ Day in London, according to Worn & Wound’s March 9, 2024 report.
Its defining feature is a deep-red, textured dial with a three-dimensional blasted dragon-scale motif. An orange dual-time hand adds contrast, while the edition was paired with a complementary red quick-change nylon strap. The caseback carries Chinese text translated by Worn & Wound as “In time, your luck will turn.”

Can you buy the Year of the Dragon watch now?
Arken’s current product page does not verify availability of the Year of the Dragon edition. As accessed on October 7, 2026, the page showed the preorder window closed and the displayed Alterum colors out of stock; it also said black and anthracite versions would no longer be available online. Those statements apply to the listed Alterum family page, not specifically to the Dragon edition. The page’s estimated Q4 2026–Q2 2027 delivery window likewise refers to its listed order context, not confirmed Dragon-edition orders.
For a current answer about this particular limited edition, contact Arken or check directly with a seller who can identify the watch as the Year of the Dragon. The separate Sage Grey variant covered by Gear Patrol on May 20, 2026 is family context, not evidence that the Dragon edition was relaunched.
