It comes in two dial versions, each limited to 200 pieces, and uses a COSC-certified Swiss automatic movement. Here are the specifications, differences and listed price, with the dial’s material origin attributed to Atelier Jalaper.
What makes the AJ-003 distinctive?
The AJ-003 is Atelier Jalaper’s Jaguar E-Type tribute. Its defining detail is not a printed car image or a conventional decorative motif: Atelier Jalaper says the vertically brushed aluminum dial was cut from the bonnet of a 1962 Jaguar Type E Semi-Lightweight. That provenance is the manufacturer’s claim; it should not be read as independently verified material testing.
The design keeps that story relatively subtle. The dial’s brushed metal surface carries the automotive connection, while the 39 mm steel case and time-only display give the watch a comparatively restrained profile. The front uses a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, and the movement is visible through a mineral-crystal display back.

These figures are listed in Atelier Jalaper’s technical guide. The 5 ATM / 50 m rating is presented for everyday use, not as a diving rating; it does not make the AJ-003 a substitute for a purpose-built dive watch.

The two references are distinguished by dial color. Atelier Jalaper lists 200 pieces for each reference, for 400 watches across the pair if both editions are counted together.

Movement and everyday wear
The Sellita SW300-1B is an automatic movement with COSC certification, a stated frequency of 4 Hz and roughly 56 hours of power reserve. The display includes hours, minutes and seconds, with hacking seconds for setting the time precisely. There is no date window, which keeps the dial uncluttered but means the watch provides no calendar display.
At 39 mm across and 45.55 mm lug to lug, the case dimensions offer useful starting points for assessing fit, but wrist shape and strap choice also affect how a watch wears. The maker positions the AJ-003 for daily and dressed-up use. Its 5 ATM / 50 m rating is everyday-use resistance, not an indication that it is designed for intensive water sports or diving.

Price, warranty and buying terms
Atelier Jalaper’s September 2026 technical guide lists the AJ-003-B at €2,400, and the AJ-003-W product page also lists €2,400. The guide states a two-year warranty, a 15-day right of return and delivery in two to three working days. These are the manufacturer’s stated terms in that guide, not a guarantee of the terms or stock available on a later purchase date; confirm the applicable conditions directly with the seller.
Launch-era coverage is not a current US price reference. A March 15, 2025 A Blog To Watch article, reproduced on Atelier Jalaper’s press page, reported a US$2,500 MSRP and 400 watches total. That report aligns with the later maker-listed figure of 200 pieces per reference across two versions, but its US-dollar price should not be treated as the present price.

What the hands-on coverage does—and does not—establish
