The Audemars Piguet [RE]Master02 Selfwinding is a 2024 limited-edition reinterpretation of the brand’s asymmetric 1960 Model 5159BA. Reference 15240SG.OO.A347CR.01 measures 41 × 9.7 mm, uses an 18K sand-gold case and a twelve-section blue dial, and is limited to 250 pieces. Its automatic calibre 7129 is reported to provide about 52 hours of power reserve.
What is the Audemars Piguet [RE]Master02?
The [RE]Master02 Selfwinding is a modern tribute to an experimental Audemars Piguet design from 1960. The 2024 watch’s reference is 15240SG.OO.A347CR.01. Its asymmetric case and segmented dial carry the vintage concept into a substantially larger contemporary watch.
The model was produced as a limited edition of 250 pieces, according to Fratello’s May 31, 2024 coverage.
How does it compare with the 1960 original?
The inspiration was Model 5159BA, a design Fratello reports was made in seven examples. The original is reported as 27.5 mm across, in 18K yellow gold. The modern edition preserves the asymmetry but changes the scale, case alloy and dial treatment.

The modern case’s asymmetric outline is the most immediately visible link to the original. The dial adds a geometric focal point: its twelve linear-satin sections create a radial arrangement across the blue surface.
