The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date pairs a flyback chronograph and independently operated split-seconds hand with GMT and large-date displays. The featured titanium reference, 26650TI.OO.D013CA.01, has a 43 mm case and selfwinding Calibre 4407. AP also lists forged-carbon versions of the model family, with a different material and visual treatment.
What the chronograph, GMT and large date do
Calibre 4407 brings four functions together: flyback chronograph, split-seconds timing, GMT and large date. The GMT day/night disc and large-date display are visible on the openworked dial, while the chronograph functions provide the more specialized timing features. Flyback chronograph
A flyback function lets the wearer reset and restart the chronograph in one operation, without stopping it first. That can make successive timing intervals simpler to record.
Split-seconds timing
A split-seconds chronograph has an additional hand that can be stopped independently while the main chronograph hand continues. This lets the wearer read an intermediate time, then release the stopped hand to catch up. It is useful for comparing elapsed times without ending the overall timing run.

GMT and large date
The GMT day/night disc indicates day or night for the additional time-zone display; the large date makes the calendar date legible on the dial. AP identifies both as functions of Calibre 4407.
The titanium reference: case, dial and movement
Reference 26650TI.OO.D013CA.01 is a 43 mm, three-dimensional titanium-cased watch. AP specifies sandblasted titanium inserts, a satin-brushed octagonal bezel and polished chamfers. The openworked dial is made from German silver with sandblasted black PVD and polished rhodium-toned bevels. White-gold markers and hands have luminescent coating, according to the manufacturer.

Calibre 4407 is selfwinding. Through the sapphire caseback, the split-seconds wheel and two actuating clamps can be seen at the centre of the platinum oscillating weight, beneath an X-shaped bridge. AP says the split-seconds mechanism is integrated within the thickness of the rotor’s ball bearing.
How the titanium and forged-carbon versions differ
AP’s collection listing includes the titanium reference and two carbon references. The listed references establish that these versions belong to the same model family; they do not establish stock in every market.

For the carbon version, AP describes a case middle made from coloured forged carbon using Chroma Forged Technology, alongside blue luminescent pigments and black ceramic components. The dial is described as dark with electric-blue accents. AP claims the material resists humidity, heat and shocks; those are manufacturer claims, not independently established test results in the cited material. The carbon collection details appear on AP’s forged-carbon page, and both carbon references appear in its collection listing.

AP says the titanium watch introduces an interchangeable strap system to the Royal Oak Concept collection. The system is integrated into the case and triple-blade folding clasp. Check with AP or an authorized retailer to confirm compatibility before buying a replacement strap.

Audemars Piguet says the Royal Oak Concept collection began in 2002 as a platform for research-and-development experimentation. The company traces its split-seconds history to 1882, says the complication returned in a 1996 Grande Complication wristwatch, and identifies the 2015 Royal Oak Concept Laptimer as a later development. These milestones and the historical production figures below are AP’s account, not an independently established industry census.

On the titanium product page, AP states that of 1,625 watches it produced in the 1880s and 1890s, 625 included a chronograph, and 299 of those chronographs had a split-seconds hand. The page does not state a publication year for these figures.
