What is the “John Mayer” Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar?
It is a limited-edition Royal Oak perpetual calendar created by Audemars Piguet in collaboration with American singer, guitarist and watch collector John Mayer. The official reference is 26574BC.OO.1220BC.02. The case and bracelet are 18-carat white gold, and the watch is powered by the selfwinding Calibre 5134.

What makes the Crystal Sky dial distinctive?
The dial is dark blue, with an embossed surface made up of irregular raised forms that AP says resemble crystals. The sharp facets are intended to create a sense of depth and brilliance. Its name, “Crystal Sky,” draws on that textured appearance and Mayer’s description of the dial as resembling a moonless sky.

AP says the stamping die used to produce the relief was made through electroforming, a metal-deposition process. This is the concrete manufacturing detail behind the dial’s unusual pattern; it is not simply a flat blue dial with a printed motif.

Why does AP call it the last limited edition with Calibre 5134?
AP describes the “John Mayer” watch as the last limited edition equipped with Calibre 5134. That wording refers to the final limited-edition iteration using this calibre. It does not mean this is the first or only Calibre 5134 watch, nor does it establish that no other versions of the movement exist.
How does Calibre 5134 fit into AP’s perpetual-calendar history?
AP traces the movement family to Calibre 2120/2800, which it dates to 1978. The brand says that earlier movement was the world’s thinnest selfwinding perpetual-calendar movement at the time. Calibre 5134 launched in 2015 for the 41 mm Royal Oak perpetual calendar format; AP gives its thickness as 4.3 mm.

Those dates and historical characterizations are AP’s account of its own movement lineage. The 41 mm figure describes the format for which AP says the 5134 was launched, rather than a separately stated measurement for the specific reference on its product page.
