This comparison uses the blue-dial Certina DS Action Diver 38mm Titanium, reference C048.807.44.041.00—not every watch in Certina’s broader DS Action Titanium range. On published specifications, the Certina is the smaller watch and has the longer power reserve; the Baltic offers a larger 41mm case and a published 55g case weight. Neither official source provides enough comparable information to declare one more comfortable or better finished.

Check the exact reference’s current product page or manual for its water-resistance rating and any ISO diver certification; the collection page covers multiple variants.
Which one is the better fit?
Choose the Certina if you want the smaller case
At 38mm, the Certina has a 3mm smaller listed diameter than the Baltic. Its published thickness is 13.22mm, close to the Baltic’s 13.3mm total thickness, although Baltic also gives a separate 11mm figure excluding the crystal. Diameter alone cannot determine how a watch wears: the cited Certina sheet does not give a lug-to-lug measurement, while Baltic lists 47mm. There is no matched wrist-fit test here, so try the exact watch on if fit is decisive.
Choose the Baltic if its larger format and stated case weight appeal
The Baltic measures 41mm across, 47mm lug-to-lug and 20mm between lugs. Baltic lists a 55g titanium case weight, but the Certina sheet does not give a comparable figure. That means the available specifications do not establish which complete watch is lighter: case weight and total watch weight are not interchangeable.

- Luminous hands and markers improve readability in dark or low-light conditions.
- Durable case and mineral glass are built for outdoor and everyday wear.
- WATCH SIZE & WRIST FIT: Features a 45.8 mm (1.80 in) case diameter and a 51.4 mm (2.02 in) lug-to-lug length. The adjustable 24 mm silicone strap accommodates wrists up to 230 mm (9.1 in). Measure your wrist and check the case dimensions before ordering, especially if you have a smaller wrist.
Which has the longer power reserve?
The Certina’s stated 80-hour reserve exceeds the Baltic’s 42 hours by 38 hours. That is a practical advantage if you rotate watches and want this one to keep running longer while off the wrist. Certina specifies the Powermatic 80.611 with a Nivachron balance spring; Baltic lists a Miyota 9039 with stop-seconds. The cited information does not establish comparative accuracy, service costs or real-world running time.
Are both suitable as dive watches?
Baltic explicitly rates the Aquascaphe Titanium to 300m (30ATM) and lists a screw-down crown. Certina’s collection page describes DS Action Diver titanium models with diver ratings under ISO 6425:2018, including variants rated up to 30 bar (300m) and up to 20 bar (200m). However, the watch sheet for the exact blue 38mm reference does not state its water resistance. Do not assume every specification shown for the collection applies to C048.807.44.041.00: confirm its rating and certification in the reference-specific product details or manual before relying on it for diving.

Materials, crystal and strap compatibility
Both watches use titanium cases and ceramic bezels. Baltic specifies a double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating and a unidirectional bezel with 120 clicks. Certina lists sapphire with anti-reflective treatment on one side, a ceramic bezel and a titanium bracelet with a titanium buckle. These published descriptions do not establish which watch has better finishing or legibility in use.
The lug widths differ: Baltic is 20mm, Certina 19mm. A strap sized for one is not automatically a fit for the other. Baltic says its straps are compatible with the Aquascaphe Titanium and supplies the blue variant with a vulcanized FKM rubber sport strap and titanium buckle. The cited Certina sheet lists its titanium bracelet; confirm compatibility before selecting an alternative strap.

Price and availability
There is no like-for-like current price established for both watches in one market. Certina’s Swiss-region collection page showed CHF 925 for displayed 38mm titanium diver variants at the time represented by that page; it is a regional, time-sensitive listing, not a universal price or a confirmed price for every variant. The cited Baltic product information does not provide a numeric price. Check each brand or an authorized local retailer for current price, stock, taxes, shipping, warranty coverage and return terms.
