The Baltic Hermétique Glacier is a limited-edition, time-only field-style watch with a textured glacier-inspired dial, offered in documented black and white versions. Its published specifications include a 37 mm stainless-steel case, 46 mm lug-to-lug length and Miyota 9039 automatic movement. Here’s what the two versions share, how to think about their compact proportions, and what the launch details do—and do not—tell you about finding one today.
What is the Baltic Hermétique Glacier?
The Hermétique Glacier is a limited-edition version of Baltic’s Hermétique field-style watch. Its distinguishing feature is a raised, stamped texture at the centre of the dial, described as glacier-inspired; it does not add a new complication. Fratello reported a production run of 400 watches in 2024, split equally between the two dial colours. That is a production count, not evidence of current stock or future resale value. Fratello’s March 13, 2024 coverage and Time+Tide’s editorial coverage describe the edition.
Black or white: which Glacier dial should you choose?
The documented Glacier options are black and white. Both use the textured centre; the main visual difference is how that texture contrasts with the dial and its darker railway-style minute track. No blue Glacier variant is established by the available product coverage.
- Black: A darker, more restrained overall appearance. Consider how clearly the hands, markers and textured centre stand out to you in the lighting where you expect to wear it.
- White: A brighter dial with a more conspicuous contrast between the pale textured centre and the darker minute track.
Choose by looking at the dial as a whole rather than assuming the texture makes one colour more legible. The available coverage documents the colours and design but does not provide comparative legibility testing.

Case size, thickness and wrist fit
The published dimensions are 37 mm in diameter, 46 mm lug-to-lug and 10.8 mm thick. Time+Tide describes these proportions as compact, but wrist fit depends on wrist shape, preference and how a watch sits; those numbers do not guarantee a fit for every wearer. The integrated crown is described as allowing the watch to be worn on either wrist. If possible, compare the 46 mm lug-to-lug span with a watch you already find comfortable.

Straps and bracelets
At launch, Fratello reported matching black or white Tropic-style rubber straps for the corresponding dial colours, with beads-of-rice or flat-link steel bracelet options. A black canvas strap was also described as included. The published strap width is 20 mm.
