Her January 2024 account describes a watch that feels at home with dressier and smart-casual clothing; the fit impression is hers, not a universal sizing verdict.
How the Baltic MR01 Gold PVD wears
In her January 28, 2024 What We Wore feature, Buffy Acacia says the MR01 surprised her with its wrist presence despite a 36 mm case. She describes the black-and-gold combination as exuberant without going over the top, and sees the watch as a fit for dress or smart-casual wear. Those are her handling and styling impressions; they do not establish how it will fit every wrist.
That impression is useful alongside the measurements: Baltic lists a 44 mm lug-to-lug length and a 9.9 mm overall thickness, including the glass. Case diameter alone does not describe how a watch sits on a wrist, and the published dimensions are manufacturer specifications rather than independent measurements.
What are the Baltic MR01 Gold PVD specifications?
Baltic’s current product page calls the model the MR Classic Gold PVD – Black. The 2024 feature uses the name Baltic MR01 Gold PVD. Baltic publishes these specifications for the black-dial version:

These are specifications published by Baltic, not independent measurements or test results. The 30 m (3 ATM) rating is the stated water-resistance specification; it should not be read as a promise that the watch is suitable for every water activity.
What stands out about its movement and design?
The automatic Hangzhou CAL5000a is a micro-rotor movement with a stated 42-hour power reserve. Acacia praises the visible movement decoration while acknowledging that the movement will not appeal to everyone. Her view is personal: she writes, “The Hangzhou CAL5000a movement may not be to everyone’s taste, but as someone who loves oddities, I’m glad it’s been given a home here.”

On the dial side, the glossy black surface, gold accents and guilloche small-seconds subdial create the contrast behind Acacia’s description of the watch as exuberant. Baltic specifies a high-domed hesalite crystal, a material choice that forms part of the watch’s vintage-leaning presentation.
