What is the Baume & Mercier Classima?
Classima is a collection of watches offered in different configurations. The official product pages document automatic models, a quartz model and an automatic chronograph. That variety makes the reference number essential: specifications for one Classima should not be assumed to apply to another.

Water-resistance units are reproduced as each listing states them: 10215 is specified at 50 m, 10879 and 10883 at 5 ATM, and 08732 at 30 m. These manufacturer ratings should not be treated as evidence of independent testing.

What to know about Classima 10215
The 10215 is the steel-bracelet automatic among these examples. Baume & Mercier lists its 40 mm polished steel case, silver line-guilloché dial, Roman numerals, date, central seconds and 38-hour power reserve. The case is specified at 8.95 mm thick, with a sapphire crystal case back, and the page gives a 50 m water-resistance rating.
The US product page advertises a 24-month international warranty. That is an offer shown on that market-specific page, not a guarantee that the same term applies to every region, seller or purchase channel. Check the applicable warranty terms with the seller and Baume & Mercier before buying.

What to know about Classima 10879
The 10879 pairs a 40 mm polished steel case with a blue sun-satin dial and a date display at 3 o’clock. Its listing identifies a Sellita SW200 self-winding movement, a 38-hour power reserve, 26 rubies and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The stated water resistance is 5 ATM; the case is 9.0 mm thick and has a sapphire crystal case back.
Baume & Mercier says its dark blue alligator-pattern calfskin strap uses a spring-bar system that allows tool-free changes. The product page places this model within a new generation of refined 40 mm men’s watches introduced in 2025.

Is a Classima strap interchangeable?
It depends on the reference and the strap. For the 10879, the brand specifically describes a tool-free spring-bar strap system. That does not establish that every Classima strap, or any standard strap, will fit it.
For the 10215, Baume & Mercier lists compatible strap references on its strap compatibility page. Check the exact watch reference and the listed part number before ordering a replacement. Do not infer cross-compatibility from the Classima name alone.

- Match the movement and functions to your needs: the examples here include automatic, quartz and chronograph options.
