Bell & Ross’s current U.S. product page lists it at $11,500 and marks it unavailable. Its movement description, however, conflicts with the brand’s launch materials and other published records, so the caliber and winding type should be treated with care.
What makes the BR 01 Cyber Skull distinctive?
The Cyber Skull turns the skull motif into part of the watch’s display rather than applying it as a static graphic. Bell & Ross’s launch press kit says the automaton movement opens the jaw when the spring is wound; it describes the jaw as appearing to snigger. The hours and minutes are indicated alongside the skull. Bell & Ross’s launch press kit attributes the movement to BR-CAL 206.
This is a design-led, sculptural piece, not a conventional dial with hands laid over a simple face. Its black-on-black construction makes the skull and skeletonized display part of the visual effect, while the moving jaw supplies the watch’s most theatrical feature.

Why published movement details do not agree
The sources differ on both the caliber number and whether the movement is automatic or hand-wound. Bell & Ross’s current U.S. product page calls it BR-CAL.208 and “Automatic mechanical,” while also listing the skull animation during manual winding. The launch press kit instead identifies a hand-wound BR-CAL 206. GPHG also lists BR-CAL 206 as manual-winding and gives a 48-hour power reserve and 28,800 vibrations per hour. Monochrome’s 2020 launch review identifies BR-CAL.208 as hand-wound, with 21 jewels, a 4 Hz frequency and a 50-hour reserve. Monochrome’s launch review
These descriptions cannot be reconciled from the published materials cited here. The current brand page’s automatic label and its reference to winding-triggered animation should be read as the page states them, not as proof of an undocumented mechanism or revision. The available sources also do not establish whether the differences result from a page revision, a source error or a technical change.

Current U.S. listing and historical launch prices
Bell & Ross’s U.S. product page displays $11,500 and marks the ceramic Cyber Skull unavailable. That is a regional listing captured in 2026, not a guaranteed transaction price or a statement of availability in other markets.
Historical figures are different: GPHG records CHF 9,900 including VAT, while Monochrome reported EUR 9,900 at launch in 2020. These are distinct currencies and source contexts, not interchangeable current prices. GPHG records the watch’s launch as December 2020 and its series as limited to 500 pieces.

How the ceramic model differs from the sapphire Cyber Skull
Bell & Ross sells a separate, substantially more transparent sapphire variant. The two U.S. brand listings describe different watches, so their specifications and prices should not be combined.
