Which NOMOS watches were new in 2021?
In its digital fair announcements on 7 April 2021, NOMOS named four releases or release groups as novelties: Metro neomatik 41 Update, Tangente Update in midnight blue, Club Campus Future Orange and Absolute Gray, and Tangente 38 – 50 ans Médecins Sans Frontières. Metro neomatik 41 Update: the date-display choice
The Metro’s Update date runs around the dial’s outer edge, positioned by the minute markers. NOMOS says the arrangement keeps the month visible while making the date mechanism part of the design. The watch uses the in-house neomatik caliber DUW 6101. NOMOS CEO Uwe Ahrendt described the design as making specialist watchmaking expertise visible and showing what the caliber can do.
This is the most clearly specified choice in the group for someone drawn to an unconventional date display. NOMOS’s awards page identifies the model as reference 1165, but the cited release announcement does not provide a price or establish present-day availability. Tangente Update in midnight blue: a familiar form with a new color
The April 2021 release described a midnight-blue version of Tangente Update. NOMOS lists a 41 mm diameter and 7.8 mm height. Its patented date mechanism can be set both forward and backward, and the date display includes a green luminous detail. Those published dimensions are the clearest basis for comparing its footprint with another watch; they are not a hands-on assessment of wear.

Club Campus Future Orange and Absolute Gray: color and engraving
NOMOS presented Future Orange and Absolute Gray as watches for young people and for milestones such as graduation. Both came in two sizes, and the announcement mentioned the option of an individual caseback engraving. Orange makes the bolder statement; gray offers a more subdued alternative, though that color distinction is a visual description rather than a specification.

Tangente 38 – 50 ans Médecins Sans Frontières: the charitable connection
NOMOS also announced Tangente 38 – 50 ans Médecins Sans Frontières in connection with the organization’s 50th anniversary in 2021. That charitable association is the established point of difference in the cited material. How to interpret NOMOS’s 2021 award results
Awards recorded in 2021 are not proof that a model launched that year. NOMOS’s awards page lists Lambda 175 years watchmaking Glashütte as first place in its listed 2021 category, and Tangente Sport neomatik 42 date marine black as first place in the 2021 sports-watch category.
