That makes the 5727 a dual-time watch by recall rather than a watch that keeps both hours visible side by side.
How can it be a dual-time watch with only one set of hands?
Breguet describes the 5727 as an “instant time-zone with memory” watch. Its mechanical system memorizes two times—whether in different places or the same place—while the main hands display one selected zone. Press the crown-pushbutton to recall the other. The city, date and day/night indications are synchronized with the selected time zone.
In practical terms, this is a single display backed by a two-zone memory. It suits someone who wants to switch quickly between a home time and another chosen location without keeping a second hour hand or a 24-hour ring on view. It does not show both local times simultaneously.
Felix Scholz, writing after handling the watch for Time+Tide in 2016, called the time-zone change “instant” and said, “Honestly it’s one of the coolest complications I’ve ever used.” Those are his impressions, not independent timing or performance measurements.

What does the 5727 look like?
The 5727 keeps its world-time function visually restrained: one set of hands and a city aperture rather than a continuously visible second hour hand, 24-hour ring or external city ring. The official listing describes a silvered dial with hand-guilloché finishing and Breguet-style open-tipped hands. Scholz’s 2016 review praised the dial’s guilloché and contrasted its quieter presentation with the map treatment of the earlier 5717. Those are aesthetic judgments, not objective quality ratings.
Breguet lists an alligator strap and a three-blade folding clasp. The official product page names two 18K gold case versions:

These are Breguet’s published specifications, not measurements of a watch examined for this article. Horologium’s 2016 writer felt the watch “wears slightly smaller than its 43mm size”; that is one person’s subjective impression and cannot predict fit on another wrist.
What movement and specifications does Breguet list?
Breguet specifies automatic calibre 77F0, a 55-hour power reserve, a frequency of 4 Hz, 371 components and a flat silicon balance spring. The figures are manufacturer-published; they do not establish independent results for accuracy or reliability.

The official listing also gives a sapphire caseback, silvered dial, 3 BAR water resistance and the case and strap details above. Breguet’s manual qualifies the water-resistance rating: 3 bar/30 m applies provided crown I and crown-pushbutton II are in position 1. A rating alone should not be treated as a recommendation for swimming or other water use.

The operating details matter because the memory and display are linked. Breguet’s manual is the appropriate source for the exact setting sequence; a 2016 review’s shorthand description of the pusher’s location should not substitute for those instructions.

- When you switch zones, the city, date and day/night indication follow the selected zone.
- For the stated 3 bar/30 m water-resistance condition, the manual specifies crown I and crown-pushbutton II in position 1.
How does the 5727 fit into the Hora Mundi line?
The 5727 was presented in 2016 as a new interpretation of the earlier 5717 Hora Mundi, with a more restrained dial presentation. The two generations should not be conflated: the dimensions and movement figures here are for the 5727, not the 5717.
Price and availability
Breguet’s current product page directs prospective buyers to contact a point of sale for recommended retail pricing. A current price or regional inventory is not established here. Time and Watches reported launch-era prices in 2016 of €67,800 for rose gold and €68,400 for white gold; those are historical figures, not current offers or quotes.
