Breguet announced three new Marine 5517 variants on 31 March 2026: an ice-blue dial in white gold, a black dial in rose gold, and a subtle blue-gradient dial in titanium. All are 40 mm automatic watches with a three-hand display, date at 6 o’clock and hand-guilloché “Quai de l’Horloge” dials.
What distinguishes the three new Marine 5517 models?
The differences are their case material and dial treatment, rather than a change in complication. Each uses the 5517’s three-hand layout and date display, with the date positioned at 6 o’clock on these versions.
| Case material | Dial |
|---|---|
| White gold | Ice blue |
| Rose gold | Black |
| Titanium | Subtle blue gradient |
Breguet offers each version with either a rubber strap patterned to echo the dial or a metal bracelet. The announcement does not establish a performance difference among the three case-and-dial combinations.
What does “Quai de l’Horloge” mean?
The name refers to the Paris address on the Île de la Cité where Abraham-Louis Breguet established his workshop and where marine chronometers were made. Swatch Group says the pattern draws on the contours of the Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis, as well as the movement of waves; Breguet also introduced the motif for its 250th anniversary.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The dial starts with a gold base, which is hand-guilloché to create the pattern, then treated for its color and finished with lacquer for depth. The result is a textured dial rather than a printed wave design. Breguet’s release describes the 5517 as focusing “on the essentials with a three-hand display.”

Nautical details and collection context
The seconds-hand tip forms a “B,” which Breguet says references the maritime Bravo flag. The crown guard is shaped to evoke waves, while the gold oscillating weight visible through the sapphire caseback is inspired by a ship’s rudder. These are design references, not functional navigation features.
