The Seiko Prospex SPB451 is the clearest lower-priced alternative to the TUDOR Pelagos 39 among these options: Seiko lists it at USD 1,300 in the US, compared with TUDOR’s $5,625 US suggested retail price. It shares an automatic movement, diver-watch design and long power reserve, but it is a 40 mm stainless-steel watch rated to 300 m—not a smaller, lighter titanium Pelagos equivalent. Christopher Ward’s C60 Trident Pro 300 and Longines HydroConquest are also worth comparing if your priority is choosing a case size or finding a 39 mm automatic option.
What to compare before choosing a Pelagos 39 alternative
The Pelagos 39 combines a compact 39 mm Grade 2 titanium case, a COSC-certified automatic movement, approximately 70 hours of power reserve and a titanium bracelet with T-fit clasp. TUDOR lists its water resistance at 200 m. A higher depth rating or lower price alone does not make another watch equivalent: case material, fit, movement, bezel and clasp can matter just as much.
The prices below are manufacturer-listed US figures where established, not guaranteed transaction prices. Prices and model availability vary by region and can change. The specifications are manufacturer figures, not results of an independent comparative test.

- Stainless Steel case with Black Resin Band
- Black Dial with date window at 3 O'clock
- Luminous markers and hour hands; sweep second hand
- Anti-reverse bezel
- Water-resistant to 200 M (660 feet)
Its appeal is the overlap in everyday dive-watch practicality and extended reserve at a much lower manufacturer-listed US price. The trade-offs are tangible: the Seiko is larger and steel rather than titanium, and its 20 mm lug spacing differs from the Pelagos 39’s 21 mm. The watches also have different bracelet and clasp systems, so the Pelagos’s titanium bracelet and T-fit clasp should not be assumed to have a direct counterpart on the SPB451.
Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 300: more case-size options
The C60 Trident Pro 300 technical sheet lists 38 mm, 40 mm and 42 mm sizes, 300 m water resistance and a Sellita SW200-1 calibre. It also specifies a tolerance of -20/+20 seconds per day. The sheet does not establish a current price, so compare the live price for the particular size and configuration before deciding. See Christopher Ward’s C60 Trident Pro 300 technical sheet.

The 38 mm version is the size to examine first if you want a case closer in diameter to the Pelagos 39. Diameter alone does not determine wrist fit: case shape, thickness, lug-to-lug length and bracelet can change how a watch wears. The cited sheet does not provide enough price evidence to establish how much less the C60 costs.
Longines HydroConquest: a 39 mm automatic option
Longines’ US HydroConquest collection page includes a 39 mm automatic variant. The wider collection includes both automatic and quartz models and offers up to 300 m water resistance, depending on the model; Longines also describes the line as having a unidirectional bezel and screw-in crown. Check the exact configuration, since collection-level specifications do not apply uniformly to every version. The page does not establish a current price for the 39 mm automatic model. See the Longines HydroConquest collection.

What the Pelagos 39 costs and what that price represents
TUDOR’s US product page lists the Pelagos 39 at a $5,625 suggested retail price. The page gives the watch a 39 mm Grade 2 titanium case, 200 m water resistance, 11.8 mm thickness, 21 mm lug width, a COSC-certified MT5400 automatic movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve, and a titanium bracelet with T-fit clasp. - Choose the Seiko SPB451 if you want an automatic steel dive watch with a published US price and a 300 m rating, and are comfortable with a 40 mm case instead of titanium at 39 mm.
- Consider the C60 Trident Pro 300 if having 38 mm, 40 mm and 42 mm choices is central to your decision. Confirm the current price and the details of the specific configuration.
- Consider the HydroConquest if you want to compare a 39 mm automatic model from a collection that also includes quartz versions. Verify that the particular reference has the movement and water-resistance rating you want.
- Stay with the Pelagos 39 if the combination of titanium, its 39 mm case, COSC-certified movement and T-fit titanium bracelet is the point; the alternatives listed here differ in at least one of those defining traits.
For any candidate, compare the exact model reference in your region, then check case dimensions, material, movement, water-resistance rating, bezel and bracelet or clasp. Manufacturer-listed prices are regional and may change.
