The Bulgari Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar in rose gold, reference 104175, pairs the warm-toned, sandblasted precious metal with an exceptionally thin automatic perpetual-calendar movement. Its octagonal case is 5.80 mm thick, while the BVL 305 calibre inside measures 2.75 mm, according to Bulgari.
What makes the rose-gold Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar distinctive?
Reference 104175 makes its contrast visible: the case, dial, crown and integrated bracelet are all sandblasted 18 kt rose gold, while the watch’s defining technical feature is a slim mechanical calendar. Bulgari specifies a 40 mm octagonal case, brown hands and indexes, a transparent caseback and a black ceramic insert in the crown. The integrated bracelet closes with a folding buckle.
The sandblasted finish gives the rose gold a restrained, matte appearance rather than a highly polished shine. That visual warmth is set against a display designed around calendar information: day and month indications sit alongside a retrograde date and a retrograde leap-year indication.
How thin is reference 104175, and what does its movement offer?
Bulgari lists the case at 5.80 mm thick and its automatic BVL 305 calibre at 2.75 mm. The movement runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and has a stated 60-hour power reserve. These are manufacturer specifications for reference 104175, not results from an independent test.

The calendar is perpetual: Bulgari says it requires no adjustment until 2100. That claim concerns the calendar’s adjustment horizon; it does not establish the watch’s accuracy, servicing needs or performance under particular ownership conditions.
How does the perpetual calendar display its information?
- Day and month: The watch displays both as calendar indications.
- Retrograde date: The date indication travels across its scale and returns to the beginning rather than completing a conventional circular sweep.
- Retrograde leap year: A separate indication shows the leap-year cycle.

What are the case and water-resistance specifications?
Bulgari lists reference 104175 with a 40 mm case diameter, 5.80 mm case thickness and 30 m water-resistance rating. The 30 m figure is the manufacturer’s rating; it should not be read as a recommendation for swimming or diving.
How does the rose-gold model relate to the titanium version?
Bulgari’s Horlogerie family page presents the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar as an ultra-thin calendar watch and says its BVL 305 movement was developed at the company’s Swiss watch manufacture in Le Sentier. The same page reports that the model won the 2021 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève Aiguille d’Or.
