The Christopher Ward C60 Trident Lumière and TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph take different routes to a lightweight dive watch: the documented C60 limited edition is a COSC-certified mechanical automatic rated to 300 m, while the exact TAG references compared here use light-powered quartz movements and are rated to 200 m. Choose the C60 for its mechanical movement, deeper stated water-resistance rating and prominent luminous ceramic details; choose the Solargraph for light-powered convenience and less frequent charging. The TAG specifications below distinguish the steel WBP1115.BA0000 from the titanium WBP1180.BF0000, since dimensions and dial details do not necessarily carry across variants.
Which watch makes more sense for you?
| What matters most | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanical movement and conventional automatic-watch ownership | C60 Trident Lumière LE | Sellita SW300-1 COSC automatic calibre; up to 56 hours of power reserve in Christopher Ward’s LE handbook. |
| Light-powered quartz convenience | Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph | TAG Heuer says the TH50-00 converts natural and artificial light and can run up to 10 months on a full charge. |
| Higher stated water-resistance rating | C60 Trident Lumière LE | 300 m in the cited handbook, versus 200 m for the cited TAG references. |
| Titanium case and bracelet from the cited references | Aquaracer WBP1180.BF0000 | The official UK page identifies Grade 2 titanium for both case and bracelet. The C60 handbook identifies a Grade 2 titanium case. |
That is a comparison of manufacturer specifications, not a claim that either watch was independently tested here. Fit, dial appeal and perceived value remain personal; reviewer preferences in the June 2025 Fratello comparison are opinions, not universal verdicts.

Movement and everyday upkeep
C60: mechanical automatic
The C60 Trident Lumière limited-edition handbook specifies a Sellita SW300-1 COSC automatic movement with up to 56 hours of power reserve and a stated timing tolerance of -4/+6 seconds per day. It is self-winding through wear and can also be wound; if left unworn long enough to stop, it needs to be wound and reset. The handbook is specific to the LE, so confirm the movement and specifications for any other Lumière edition or current SKU before buying. Christopher Ward C60 Trident Lumière LE handbook.
Aquaracer: solar quartz
The steel WBP1115.BA0000 and titanium WBP1180.BF0000 use TAG Heuer’s TH50-00 solar-quartz calibre. TAG says it converts natural and artificial light, that a full charge provides up to 10 months of autonomy, and that the battery is designed for a lifespan of up to 15 years. TAG also says brief light exposure can power the watch for a day. These are manufacturer claims, not independently measured results. The quartz option avoids routine winding, but it still depends on light exposure and eventually requires battery service. See the official pages for the steel WBP1115.BA0000 and titanium WBP1180.BF0000.

- Tag Heuer Aquaracer Automatic Black Dial Men's Watch WBP5110.FT6257
The choice is not a contest in measured accuracy: the C60 handbook provides a tolerance, but the cited TAG pages do not give a comparable figure. It is principally mechanical-watch ownership versus light-charged quartz convenience.
Water resistance and dive-watch features
Christopher Ward rates the documented C60 LE at 30 ATM / 300 m; TAG Heuer rates both cited Aquaracer Solargraph references at 200 m. These are the manufacturers’ ratings, not independent test results. The C60 handbook also specifies a unidirectional diving bezel, screw-down crown and helium release valve. Both are substantial stated water-resistance ratings, but the number alone does not establish suitability for every activity or substitute for checking seals and service condition.

Case material, dimensions and strap fit
The exact C60 LE measurements and the steel Solargraph measurements differ, while the cited TAG titanium page does not state every dimension. Avoid treating the steel reference’s measurements as confirmed for its titanium sibling.
| Specification | C60 Trident Lumière LE | Aquaracer WBP1115.BA0000 steel | Aquaracer WBP1180.BF0000 titanium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Case material | Grade 2 titanium | Steel | Grade 2 titanium case and bracelet |
| Case diameter | 41 mm | 40 mm | 40 mm, per TAG Heuer product page |
| Thickness | 10.85 mm | 9.97 mm | Not stated on cited TAG Heuer page |
| Lug-to-lug / lug distance | 47.90 mm lug-to-lug | 19 mm lug distance | Not stated on cited TAG Heuer page |
| Strap width | 22 mm | Not stated; page gives a 19 mm lug distance | Not stated |
| Head weight | 53 g | Not stated | Not stated |
The C60’s 53 g figure is for the watch head, not a bracelet-equipped total. The steel TAG’s 19 mm lug distance is useful when considering strap fit, but is not stated for the titanium reference. Check the specific model and strap or bracelet interface rather than assuming a strap sized for one fits another. Christopher Ward’s measurements come from its LE handbook; TAG’s steel dimensions are on its WBP1115.BA0000 page.
Dial, lume, bracelet and clasp
Luminous details and dial variants
Christopher Ward specifies applied Globolight XP ceramic indexes and hands, with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 BL C1. TAG’s steel WBP1115.BA0000 page describes white Super-LumiNova on its hands and indexes and a green sunray dial. That dial description belongs to the steel reference; the Solargraph range has other material and dial variants, so it should not be generalized to every model. The C60’s ceramic luminous components give its presentation a distinctive material emphasis, while personal preferences about dial legibility and appearance cannot be settled by specification alone.
Bracelet and clasp considerations
The cited titanium TAG is specified with a titanium bracelet, while the C60 handbook provides a 22 mm strap width. The evidence cited here does not establish a comparable clasp-adjustment specification for both exact watches. In Fratello’s June 29, 2025 comparison, Jorg Weppelink and Daan de Groot discuss their own impressions of comfort, bezel, clasp adjustment and value; those are reviewer judgments rather than measured or universal findings. Try the exact configuration on wrist if bracelet fit or clasp adjustment is decisive.

Availability and price evidence
Both official TAG Heuer UK pages reviewed label their exact references discontinued. They show £2,350 for the steel WBP1115.BA0000 and £3,000 for the titanium WBP1180.BF0000, but those displayed amounts are not verified current offers. Stock and pricing may differ by market, condition and seller; confirm the reference and availability directly before purchase. The C60 handbook is for a limited edition and does not establish current stock or a current price.
Fratello’s June 29, 2025 article reports €2,625 for the C60 and €3,200 for the blue-dial Aquaracer it discusses. Those are source-reported figures from that comparison, not current quotes or a like-for-like offer for either of the exact TAG references above. See Fratello’s comparison for its dated context.

How to choose between them
- Choose the C60 Trident Lumière LE if you want a COSC-certified mechanical automatic, the higher stated water-resistance rating, and the particular luminous ceramic execution documented in the handbook.
- Choose an Aquaracer Solargraph if solar-quartz operation and reduced need for winding appeal more than a mechanical movement. Verify whether the exact reference is steel or titanium, its dial, dimensions and current availability.
- Before buying either, check the exact reference, condition, bracelet or strap configuration, and current price. Specifications for one edition or variant should not be assumed to describe another.
