The Citizen Tsuno is not one single movement. The battery-powered AN3700-54E uses quartz Caliber 0510, while the September 2026 limited AV0104-06W uses the light-powered Eco-Drive Caliber E210. The 0510 is specified at about two years per battery and up to 15 seconds’ monthly accuracy on its model page; the E210 is specified at ±15 seconds per month and about eight months of operation when fully charged. Because the battery, charging and service procedures differ, read the caliber engraved on your case back before buying a cell or booking work.
Which Citizen Tsuno chronograph do I have?
Use the caliber number on the case back as the definitive identifier. Citizen’s standard listing AN3700-54E contains quartz Caliber 0510. The separate September 2026 limited TSUNO CHRONO, reference AV0104-06W, contains Eco-Drive Caliber E210. A 0510 battery specification must not be applied to the E210 watch.

How accurate is the Citizen Tsuno AN3700-54E?
Citizen’s model-specific page says the quartz crystal regulates the AN3700-54E to “accuracy to 15 seconds a month.” That is the clearest published figure for this exact reference, but it is not a promise that every individual watch will remain within that amount.

Citizen’s generic Caliber 0510-family manual gives a different tolerance: ±20 seconds per month when the watch is operated at 5–35 °C (41–95 °F). The two figures have different scope: one is a product-page statement for AN3700-54E, while the other covers the broader 051* family. Neither should be treated as a measured result for a particular owner’s watch.
Why can an individual watch differ?
Temperature, magnetic fields, shocks, battery condition and the condition of the movement can all influence a quartz watch’s rate. Those are general watchmaking considerations, not an independent test of the Tsuno. If a watch is consistently outside the applicable Citizen specification, record the gain or loss over several days and have an authorized technician check it rather than trying to regulate the movement yourself.
How accurate is the 2026 Eco-Drive Tsuno AV0104-06W?
Citizen Japan specifies ±15 seconds per month for Eco-Drive Caliber E210 in AV0104-06W. The figure is a manufacturer specification for that limited model, not a guarantee of an identical result in every environment. E210’s accuracy statement should be kept separate from the 0510-family manual because the watches use different movements and power systems.
How long does a Citizen Tsuno 0510 battery last?
The official Caliber 0510 manual lists approximately two years of battery life. It lists approximately five years for the 051C variant, so check the exact caliber suffix before planning a replacement interval. The stated periods are estimates under the manufacturer’s operating assumptions; frequent chronograph use and the age of the cell at installation can shorten the time before replacement.

Which battery does Caliber 0510 use?
The manual identifies battery 280-44, also designated SR927W. The natural replacement description is an “SR927W (280-44) replacement watch battery for Citizen Caliber 0510.” Verify the case-back caliber, the battery polarity and the cell marking before fitting one. This specification does not establish that the same cell fits every Tsuno reference.
A quartz cell can have less remaining life when you buy the watch because it may have been installed before shipment. Citizen’s UK guarantee page specifically warns about this possibility, and treats the power cell as outside guarantee coverage.
How should I replace a Tsuno 0510 battery?
Battery work requires opening the case, preserving the gasket and closing the case correctly. If you do not have watchmaking tools and experience, use Citizen’s service channel or a qualified watchmaker. Give the technician the reference and caliber from the case back and ask for the correct SR927W/280-44 cell, polarity confirmation and a water-resistance check after the case is closed.
- Confirm that the case-back marking is Caliber 0510 (or the relevant 051C variant), not E210.
- Provide the technician with the 280-44/SR927W specification and request confirmation that the replacement cell matches the watch.
- After installation, have the case gasket inspected and ask whether pressure or water-resistance testing is included.
- Set the time and monitor the watch for normal operation before relying on the chronograph.
Do not order a 0510 battery for the AV0104-06W Eco-Drive model. E210 is rechargeable through light and does not use the 0510’s disposable cell.

Can I leave the Tsuno chronograph running?
No. Citizen’s 0510 instructions say that once the chronograph is started, it must be stopped or it will rapidly run down the battery. Stop the timing function when you are finished, even though the display can count for up to 11 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds before its 12-hour cycle repeats.
What are the correct 0510 controls?
- Make sure the crown is fully pushed in.
- Press the upper-right button to start the chronograph.
- Press the same upper-right button again to stop it.
- While it is stopped, press the lower-right button to reset the hands and counters.
The manual’s reset instruction is specifically given with the chronograph stopped. If a button does not respond normally, stop using the function and have the watch inspected rather than forcing it.

Is the new Citizen Tsuno Chrono solar or battery powered?
The September 2026 AV0104-06W is light-powered Eco-Drive, not a disposable-battery Caliber 0510 watch. Its E210 movement is rated for about eight months of operation from a full charge. It has a 1/5-second chronograph with a 12-hour capacity and is limited to 5,000 pieces.
That power reserve is an energy-storage figure, not a battery-replacement interval. Keep the E210 exposed to sufficient light according to Citizen’s charging guidance, and identify it by the E210 marking before requesting service.

Where can I get a Citizen Tsuno serviced?
Use the Citizen service route for the country where you bought or currently use the watch. Warranty terms, intake instructions and available parts differ by region, and unauthorized work can affect guarantee coverage.
United States service
- Submit Citizen’s online service request.
- Package the watch securely so it cannot move inside the parcel.
- Include the service confirmation with the shipment.
- For a warranty claim, include acceptable proof of warranty coverage.
- For work outside warranty, review and approve the estimate before chargeable repairs begin.
Citizen says out-of-warranty work is typically completed within 30–45 business days after estimate approval and payment, excluding transit time. Ask whether a battery replacement includes gasket inspection and pressure or water-resistance testing, especially on the 50 m-rated AN3700-54E.

Citizen provides an online service centre and parts store for UK and Ireland owners. The regional guarantee is five years, while Citizen’s international guarantee is three years; the applicable document depends on where the purchase was made. The guarantee page also states that the quartz power cell is not covered and warns that a cell installed before shipment may already have reduced remaining life.
What to include with any service request
- The exact model reference and caliber from the case back.
- A description of the symptom, including whether the issue affects timekeeping, chronograph operation or charging.
- Purchase and warranty documentation where required.
- A request for water-resistance or pressure testing if the case has been opened.
What do the Tsuno’s published case specifications mean in practice?
The AN3700-54E is listed with a 38 mm case, 18 mm lug width and 50 m water resistance. The 18 mm measurement is the attachment width for a compatible strap or bracelet, but it does not prove that every 18 mm accessory has the correct end shape or clearance. Water resistance is a condition of the watch’s seals; opening the case for a battery change makes post-service inspection and testing especially relevant.

Which Tsuno power system is right for you?
Choose the 0510 AN3700-54E if you specifically want a conventional quartz chronograph and are comfortable planning periodic cell replacement. Choose the E210 AV0104-06W if you want a light-powered movement and the limited-edition reference, while recognizing that it is a different watch with different service and charging requirements.
