The Seiko × TiCTAC SZSB006 is worth asking for again: it pairs a legible black dial and date with a 40 mm stainless-steel case, a 4R35 automatic movement, curved Hardlex crystal, and a steel bracelet. TiCTAC’s Japanese online store currently lists it at ¥55,000 including tax but shows it out of stock, with the next arrival date undetermined. That is a retailer stock status—not evidence that Seiko has announced a reissue or permanently ended production.
What makes the SZSB006 worth bringing back?
The SZSB006 was created as a Seiko × TiCTAC collaboration for TiCTAC’s 35th anniversary, associated with 2019. TiCTAC describes its design as a “NEW classic,” blending traditional Seiko mechanical-watch forms with vintage and modern touches. The appeal is its restraint: a black dial, three central hands, a date display, and a steel bracelet, rather than a complication-heavy or oversized design. TiCTAC’s product page presents the watch as a mechanical everyday model.
That combination gives the watch a clear identity without relying on an unusual complication or a dramatic case shape. The black dial is the most straightforward version in the collaboration, and the bracelet keeps the overall look distinctly steel-watch practical. TiCTAC’s own product copy calls the bracelet “light and comfortable to wear” and “high quality”; those are the retailer’s descriptions, not the result of an independent comfort test.

Similarly, the stated accuracy range is a specification, not an observed result for a particular example. The available product information does not establish independent long-term durability, real-world accuracy, or wearer comfort.
Can you still buy the SZSB006?
As shown on TiCTAC’s Japanese online listing when accessed in 2026, the black SZSB006 was priced at ¥55,000 including tax and marked out of stock, with the next arrival date undetermined. The listing also displays 2026-09-16 in its product data; that is a date on the current listing record, not evidence of the watch’s original launch date. Stock and price can change, and an online status does not establish availability at every TiCTAC store or in other markets. Check TiCTAC’s current product listing for its latest status.

A TiCTAC store notice dated 2026-08-08 reported a restock at the same ¥55,000 price. That notice shows availability has varied over time; it does not guarantee that stock remains now. TiCTAC’s store information is the relevant place to confirm current Japanese-market availability. Neither the listing nor the restock notice establishes a Seiko decision to restart production.
How the SZSB006 fits into the TiCTAC collaboration
The earlier collaboration lineup also included the SZSB007 and SZSB021. Neuve-Ay announced additional production of SZSB007, SZSB006, and SZSB021 for release on 2020-11-20. At that time, the stated pre-tax price was ¥50,000 for metal-bracelet models and ¥48,000 for leather-strap models. Those figures are historical and should not be compared as though they were current prices; the current SZSB006 listing is ¥55,000 including tax. Neuve-Ay’s 2020 announcement documents that production phase.

For TiCTAC’s 40th anniversary, Neuve-Ay announced the SZSB032, released on 2024-09-27. Its ivory dial and vintage-inspired treatment make it a related collaboration, but not a proven substitute for the black-dial SZSB006. The SZSB007, SZSB021, and SZSB032 are worth considering if the exact reference is unavailable, but their distinct designs mean buyers should compare each model’s specifications and actual listing rather than assume equivalence. Neuve-Ay’s 2024 announcement introduces the SZSB032.

The case for a return is specific: the SZSB006 brings together a useful everyday layout, a moderate 40 mm case, a mechanical movement with manual winding and hacking seconds, a date, and a bracelet in a restrained black-dial design. The documented specifications make it possible to explain what enthusiasts are asking for without pretending the watch has been independently tested or assigning it an unverified sales record.

Neuve-Ay’s 2024 announcement described the SZSB006 as “国内外問わず大人気のモデル,” roughly “a model popular both in Japan and abroad.” That is the company’s promotional characterization; the available sources do not provide a sales-volume or market-demand figure. Nor do they establish that Seiko plans to reissue the reference. A TiCTAC restock notice and an out-of-stock product page speak to retail availability at particular times, not to a confirmed future production decision.
