Its warm taupe-bronze, sand-textured dial and blue-toned Caribbean-map caseback set it apart from the regular SUB 200 collection. The watch was reported at launch in August 2025 at US$2,090, exclusively through Art of Time; that historical price does not confirm current stock or pricing.
What makes the SUB 200 Dune different?
DOXA describes the Dune as a collaboration with its long-standing St. Maarten partner Art of Time. The shore-and-sea theme appears in the warm, grain-textured dial and the caseback engraving of the Caribbean map. The blue sea coloration gives the otherwise solid steel back a distinctive finish; DOXA describes its process as laser etching and physical vapor deposition, while Hodinkee describes it as laser-induced oxidation. DOXA’s product feature and Hodinkee’s launch coverage describe the collaboration and caseback.
Production was limited to 100 individually numbered watches. It is a specific retailer collaboration, not simply a standard SUB 200 dial color.

How does the Dune compare with a standard SUB 200?
The Dune retains the familiar 42 mm SUB 200 case platform, automatic movement and 200 m rating. Its premium is tied to the limited collaboration and design details rather than a different core format: the textured dial, colored map caseback, sapphire-treated bezel and two included straps distinguish this edition.
Time+Tide characterized the Dune as nearly US$1,000 more than a standard SUB 200 and viewed it as a design-led premium choice rather than the value option in the range. That is the reviewer’s comparison, not an independent market valuation; prices can vary by model, date and seller. See Time+Tide’s review for that assessment.

Original price and where to look for the Dune
At its August 21, 2025 launch, Hodinkee reported a retail price of US$2,090 and exclusive availability through Art of Time in St. Maarten. Time+Tide repeated the price and retailer and said its author found the allocation tight when making an inquiry. These are launch-period reports, not confirmation of today’s availability or resale value.
DOXA’s currently displayed limited-edition collection lists other models and omits the Dune. That omission by itself does not establish that the watch has been discontinued or sold out. For a purchase, contact Art of Time directly to confirm whether an example is available, the current price, and applicable shipping or service terms. If considering a secondary-market listing, verify the reference, individual numbering, condition and included bracelet and strap with the seller.
