The available reports describe several dial and material combinations, but do not establish a definitive list of four references—so the reissue is best understood through its confirmed specifications and variants, not an unverified four-watch lineup.
What is confirmed about the anniversary chronograph?
WatchTime’s September 11, 2026 report identifies reference 1216750 as the 115th-anniversary edition. It has a 40 mm steel case with 18-karat 3N yellow-gold elements, measures 11.6 mm thick and is rated to 5 bar, or 50 m. A sapphire caseback reveals the automatic Dubois Dépraz DD2222 chronograph caliber. WatchTime says EBEL’s cited press materials did not state the movement’s frequency or power reserve, so those figures should not be inferred. WatchTime, September 11, 2026.
The reported dial is opaline white, with black printed Roman numerals, gold-plated counter rings and baton hands, and a date at 4:30. The watch has an integrated bracelet. WatchTime reports 115 individually numbered examples and an October 2026 planned market launch; that timing does not confirm current stock in any particular country or retailer.
Which versions are reported—and why “four” is uncertain
WatchTime describes the chronograph in steel with white or navy dials, as well as the steel-and-gold anniversary treatment. It also mentions a blue-dial steel-and-gold anniversary piece, but the article does not reconcile these descriptions into a complete four-reference list. No authoritative four-model enumeration or all corresponding reference numbers are established in the available reports. The practical takeaway is that the named dial and material variations are reported, but a buyer should confirm the exact reference and configuration with EBEL or a retailer.

Do not count the Sport Classic Gemstones as another chronograph. WatchTime describes that as a separate quartz watch: the 29 mm version uses an ETA E61.031 caliber, with 47 colored bezel stones totaling 0.329 carats and eight stones totaling 0.056 carats on its mother-of-pearl dial. The report also lists 24 mm and 33 mm sizes, 5 bar water resistance, reference 1216753 for the 29 mm model and an August 2026 launch. How the new watch compares with the vintage design
The Sport Classique line dates to 1977, according to Phillips’ auction catalogue, which highlights its wave bracelet. Phillips says EBEL presented the chronograph in 1982 and turned to Zenith for El Primero movements; its catalogue also records a 1993 Sports Classic Chronograph, reference 8134901, with automatic caliber 400. The new release shares a visual lineage and chronograph role with those earlier watches, but it is not a mechanically identical vintage reproduction. Montres de Luxe compares the original at 38 mm and 30 m water resistance with the new 40 mm case and 50 m rating. EBEL’s US catalog lists a different Sport Classic, reference 1216695, at $4,500: a 42 mm steel-and-18K-yellow-gold automatic model with 5 bar water resistance and a wave-link bracelet. It is a line comparator, not the anniversary chronograph, so its price and specifications should not be attributed to reference 1216750. EBEL US catalog.
