British Watchmakers’ Day 2025 brought together 26 makers with limited-edition watches spanning divers, dress watches, GMTs, art-led designs and unusual complications. The event was held at Lindley Hall in London on 8 March 2025. Below is the full organizer-listed edition lineup, with reported launch details and historical prices where available. Those prices and the event listing do not establish current stock or resale value.
What was British Watchmakers’ Day 2025?
The Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers held the event at Lindley Hall, London, on Saturday, 8 March 2025. WatchPro listed two sessions: 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and 2 p.m.–6 p.m. The Alliance later said general-admission tickets sold out in 15 hours. WatchPro’s event report said 44 brands were committed to the show and 26 planned special editions.
WatchPro described the editions as releases available on the day without pre-orders, generally capped at up to 100 pieces, with The Gimlet as the 200-piece exception. The Alliance’s later post-event reflection reports that The Gimlet sold 100 watches in each of the two sessions for £1,000 apiece. That is the organizer’s retrospective account, not independently audited sales data.
The organizer’s 2025 edition page lists the watches and says some sold out within hours, while inviting visitors to check for acquisition opportunities. That historical notice does not confirm whether any particular watch is available now.

How the watches differ
Divers and robust tool watches
The list’s dive-oriented options range from the unique 200 m Monro MOA-BWD and the 200 m Alkin and Golby watches to the 310 m Marloe Morar 310 and 600 m Vertex M60 Taormina. Those water-resistance figures are not interchangeable measures of overall suitability: the Vertex is specifically reported as ISO 6425 compliant, while the other listed details do not establish that certification. The Marloe adds a ceramic bezel and helium release valve; the Golby brings a smaller 36 mm case and distinctive lighthouse hands.
Travel watches and complications
For travel functions, Elliot Brown’s Holton Auto GMT, Nomadic’s Fíor 555 and Omologato’s Arnage 24h GMT / Rouge London Edition are the listed GMTs. Christopher Ward’s C1 Moonphase adds a moonphase display, while Fears’ Brunswick Jump Hour changes how the hour is shown rather than using a conventional hour hand. Mr Jones’ Khaosify takes a deliberately less conventional approach to reading the time.

Dress watches and art-led dials
Farer’s 36 mm Aurora is the clearest dress-watch proposition in the lineup, with copper guilloché and luminous numerals. Fears pairs Edwardian-inspired typography with a sterling-silver case. Beaucroft’s Penfold collaboration, the two Isotope techniques, Pinion’s violet guilloché and the Gimlet’s layered luminous dial put the dial and its making at the center of the design. These are different approaches to limited-edition design, not one shared style.

The event took place in March 2025, so its day-of-release terms and initial sellouts are historical. The Alliance says some editions sold out within hours but also directs visitors to check for acquisition opportunities on its event page. That wording is not a live inventory guarantee. Likewise, WatchPro’s day-of-event availability account, Apiar’s expected summer 2025 availability, and Hodinkee’s report of planned additional Farer units describe release context at the time, not current stock.

- For a possible remaining example, start with the maker’s own current product or contact page, then confirm whether it is new stock, a later release or pre-owned.
- For resale listings, verify the exact reference and edition variant, condition, documentation and seller terms. An edition count alone does not verify a particular watch’s provenance.
- Treat all prices in the table as historical launch or event figures. They do not establish today’s asking prices or value.
What the lineup says about the event
British Watchmakers’ Day was not limited to watches made entirely in Britain. Hodinkee describes many participants as UK-based and says many watches were assembled in the UK; it also notes common use of Miyota, Sellita and Seiko Instruments movements. These are broad observations, not specifications for every model. Hodinkee also says many releases directed a portion of proceeds to the Alliance, which should not be read as applying to every watch.
Alliance CEO Alistair Audsley called the special editions “the highlight of the event” and said their success was “proof positive that British brands are creating superbly collectible watches, which are accessible for every pocket,” as quoted by WatchPro. The prices in this guide show a wide historical range, but the quote is his assessment, not a guarantee that all editions were affordable or remain obtainable.
