What changed on each watch
Black Bay 58 Burgundy: a new colorway and certified movement
The Black Bay 58 pairs a burgundy dial with a matching bezel and a 39 mm case. Japan Rolex Co., Ltd.’s April 1, 2025 announcement says it is METAS Master Chronometer certified and attributes the colorway’s inspiration to a TUDOR prototype from the 1990s that was never commercialized. The model name refers to 1958, when TUDOR introduced reference 7924, nicknamed “Big Crown.” TUDOR’s Japan announcement.
The release lists three Japan-market wear configurations: a five-link steel bracelet, a three-link steel bracelet, and a rubber strap. Its 2025 Japan-market launch prices were ¥649,000 for the five-link bracelet, ¥633,600 for the three-link bracelet, and ¥602,800 for the rubber strap. These are launch prices for Japan, not current prices or prices for other markets.
Black Bay 68: the largest case in the Black Bay pair detailed by TUDOR
The new Black Bay 68 has a 43 mm case, compared with the Black Bay 58’s 39 mm. TUDOR’s Japan announcement lists the 68 on a three-link bracelet at a 2025 Japan-market launch price of ¥663,300. Stuff reported blue and satin-silver dial versions; those color details come from its contemporaneous roundup rather than the official release text available here. Stuff’s April 1, 2025 overview.

Black Bay Pro: opaline dial on the GMT
TUDOR identified the Black Bay Pro’s opaline dial as the new feature. Stuff describes it as a 39 mm GMT watch with a fixed steel bezel, and reports bracelet and strap options. The available announcement details establish the dial change, but do not provide a complete region-by-region configuration list.
Pelagos Ultra: a 1,000 m depth rating
TUDOR states a water resistance of 1,000 m for the Pelagos Ultra. Stuff reports a 43 mm titanium case, helium escape valve, METAS and COSC certifications, titanium bracelet, and an included rubber strap. Those additional particulars are Stuff’s reporting, not figures drawn from the official announcement details described above.

Black Bay Chrono: a five-link bracelet option
TUDOR’s announcement identifies a five-link bracelet variant of the Black Bay Chrono. Stuff reports a 41 mm case, a three-link bracelet alternative, T-Fit clasp, black or white dial configurations, and a column-wheel, vertical-clutch movement. The movement and configuration details here are attributed to Stuff’s April 1, 2025 roundup.
How to compare the five announcements
- For the most explicit color and bracelet choice: the Black Bay 58 Burgundy has a burgundy dial and bezel, and TUDOR listed three wear configurations in its Japan release.
- For a larger Black Bay case: the Black Bay 68 measures 43 mm according to TUDOR’s Japan announcement. That measurement is larger than the 39 mm Black Bay 58 case stated in the same release.
- For a GMT function: Stuff identifies the Black Bay Pro as a GMT, with the opaline dial as its 2025 update.
- For the stated deep-diving specification: TUDOR gives the Pelagos Ultra a 1,000 m water-resistance rating.
- For a chronograph with a newly listed bracelet option: the Black Bay Chrono announcement includes a five-link bracelet variant.
These published specifications do not establish comparative wrist fit or hands-on performance, so case diameter and feature lists alone are not evidence that one model will wear better or perform better for a particular owner.
