What does the Double Balance Wheel design do?
The openworked construction exposes the movement rather than concealing it behind a conventional dial. The Double Balance Wheel arrangement uses two balance wheels and hairsprings mounted on the same axis. AP describes the geometry as patented and shows the mechanism from both sides on its pink-gold reference page.
