The Bulgari Octo Roma Striking 8 Days, reference 104075, pairs the Octo Roma’s angular case design with a slim, openworked manual-winding movement. Its BVL 199SK caliber is just 2.5 mm thick and stores 192 hours of power when fully wound—enough for an eight-day interval between windings.
Octo Roma shape, finished in black DLC titanium
The case combines an octagonal base with a round bezel, a defining contrast in the Octo Roma design. Bulgari lists the sandblasted, black-DLC-treated titanium case as 44 mm across and 9.1 mm thick. Monochrome Watches gives the diameter as 44.2 mm and the same 9.1 mm thickness; the small difference reflects the measurements reported by each source.

Bulova Men's Oceanographer Snorkel GMT Automatic Grey Ion Plated Stainless Steel Case Watch, Black... | $838.19 | Buy on Amazon |
Sapphire elements in the case middle and dial expose the movement from different angles. Green Super-LumiNova accents stand out against the dark, skeletonized layout. The watch is supplied with an interchangeable black rubber strap with green stitching and an additional black alligator strap. Monochrome describes the rubber strap as having a textile-patterned surface.
How the BVL 199SK works
Bulgari specifies a hand-wound, skeletonized BVL 199SK movement with a 192-hour (eight-day) power reserve, small seconds and a power-reserve display. The 2.5 mm figure describes the movement’s thickness, not the complete watch: Bulgari lists the case at 9.1 mm thick.

- For the uncompromising thrill seeker, there is no alternative to this all-new Bulova men’s Oceanographer GMT.
- The perfectly sized 41mm stainless steel case features a grey IP coating, a screw-down crown that provides 200 meters of water resistance, and a unidirectional rotating black-and-white timing bezel. Under the box sapphire crystal, the fully luminescent white dial features a black 24-hours scale and minute markers, applied round luminescent hour markers, and a date display.
- The bold handset features luminescent fill for exceptional low-light legibility, and an independently adjusted hour hand that allows you to quickly set the local time. The Oceanographer GMT is powered by a self-winding GMT movement with 24-jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours, protected by a screw-down caseback.
- Paired perfectly with a fitted gray silicone strap with a rugged three-piece buckle. When you need a timepiece that can go everywhere you want and never fall behind, the men’s Bulova Oceanographer GMT is the only option.
- 200M Water Resistant and 3 Year Limited Warranty
Monochrome reports the movement measures 36.6 mm by 2.5 mm, has 33 jewels and runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz). Its account places the small-seconds display at about 8 o’clock, with a green reserve indicator around it, and describes a long single barrel visible toward 1 o’clock.
The 192-hour reserve means the watch can run for eight days after a full wind under the specified conditions. It is not an automatic movement, so the wearer must wind it by hand; the power-reserve display indicates how much of that stored energy remains.

Monochrome notes that the BVL 199SK previously appeared in the Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days in 2022. The useful distinction is the case: the Octo Roma applies the movement to its octagonal-base-and-round-bezel design, while Monochrome characterizes the Roma as rounder, more relaxed and sturdier than the Finissimo. Those are the publication’s design judgments, not a hands-on wear assessment.
For a direct comparison, focus on case geometry and dimensions, winding style and reserve, dial legibility, water-resistance rating, strap options and price. The shared movement family alone does not establish that the watches wear or read alike.
Launch date and price context
Monochrome reported an October 2024 launch and a Swiss launch price of CHF 33,100. The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève listing also gives October 2024 and CHF 33,100 including VAT. Those are launch-era Swiss-franc figures, not a universal current price.
Bulgari’s US product listing showed $36,800 when checked on 2026-10-07. Regional prices and availability can change; check Bulgari or an authorized retailer for current local information. Stock was not verified.
