The Nine in Ten is DONE Watches’ first chronograph and its ninth project for the brand’s tenth anniversary, according to DONE and launch coverage. The manufacturer says the project draws on founder Thierry Clottu’s early interest in chronographs; Monochrome Watches describes vintage-inspired cues paired with a contemporary openworked display. The case is stainless steel, with a stated diameter of 40 mm. DONE lists overall thickness as 14.20 mm, or 9.25 mm excluding the crystals, and lug-to-lug length as 48.70 mm. The lug width is 20 mm. These figures are useful for comparing the watch with one you already own, but they do not establish how it will feel on a particular wrist.

The brand describes a sapphire dial, black opaline flange and two box-type sapphire crystals, with luminous material on the hands and flange. The bi-compax layout places the chronograph counters at 3 and 9, with a 30-minute counter and a date display at 6. DONE also lists rubber, metal and leather variants; check the current product listing for the available configuration. Its 20 mm lug width alone does not confirm that an aftermarket strap will fit the end connections.

DONE identifies the automatic movement as a La Joux-Perret L111 modified for the brand, with a stated 60-hour power reserve. The launch article by Monochrome describes the caliber as column-wheel operated and gives a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour; those details are from the 2025 launch coverage, while the current product listing foregrounds the reserve. The display pairs the two chronograph registers with a date at 6. The openworked/sapphire dial presentation puts the movement on show; a buyer prioritizing an especially uncluttered or high-contrast time display may want to examine the dial images closely before ordering. What does the COSC certification mean?
DONE says each watch is individually certified by COSC and receives its own rate certificate. The manufacturer’s explanation says the movement is tested for 15 consecutive days in five positions at 8°, 23° and 38°C, with a qualifying mean daily rate between -4 and +6 seconds per day. These are DONE’s descriptions of the certification and test criteria; they do not amount to an inspection of the certificate for a particular serial-numbered watch. The brand’s phrase, “Not a promise. Proof.” is its own promotional characterization of that certification.
Price, delivery and purchase terms

These proportions balance the detail of a three-register chronograph with a wearable footprint. The 20mm bracelet remains proportionate to the case, while the raised crystal adds vintage depth to the compact design.
Monochrome reported launch terms on December 4, 2025: a CHF 3,691 ex-tax preorder price, an expected CHF 4,616 ex-tax future retail price, and estimated delivery in mid-April 2026. Those are historical launch figures and are not current price or delivery guidance.
The current product page states free worldwide delivery, shipping within 15–20 days, and transit estimates of 2–3 business days in Switzerland and 3–10 business days internationally, depending on destination. Preparation and transit can be separate parts of the timeline, so confirm the estimate for your address at checkout. DONE says prices for Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the European Union include applicable taxes, with the brand paying taxes and customs duties; outside those locations the price is ex-VAT and the customer is responsible for taxes and customs. Assembly and warranty
DONE says Pivodax SA, based in Dombresson in Switzerland’s canton of Neuchâtel, handles jewelling, fitting, movement assembly and final casing. The brand also says each watch is assembled, inspected and individually checked, and lists a two-year international guarantee. These are manufacturer statements; consult the guarantee terms for coverage and exclusions.
Who should consider the Nine in Ten?
The published specification set may appeal to someone seeking a compact-diameter automatic chronograph with a visible movement, a stated 60-hour reserve and maker-reported individual COSC certification. The openworked presentation and 14.20 mm overall thickness are meaningful trade-offs to weigh against a preference for a more conventional dial or a slimmer profile. No named competing model is established here, so a fair comparison should use verified current prices and like-for-like dimensions, movement details, warranty and destination costs.
