Glashütte Original’s 2025 Plasma and Fusion editions give the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date two vivid new dial colours: purple for Plasma and lime green for Fusion. Each was announced as a 100-piece limited edition, with the same 40 mm square stainless-steel case and automatic flyback chronograph movement. The choice is principally colour and how you wear it: each dial was offered on a black rubber strap or an integrated steel bracelet.
What are the Plasma and Fusion editions?
They are two colour variants of Glashütte Original’s Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, a watch with a rounded-corner, square case that draws on 1970s design. Monochrome Watches reported the release on 14 August 2025: Plasma has a purple dial, Fusion a lime-green dial, and each colour is limited to 100 pieces. The two versions share the same case, movement, display and configuration choices.
The dial is matte lacquered with a grained finish. Black indices and hands, described by Monochrome as carrying Super-LumiNova, contrast with the bright colours. The layout places the 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, small seconds and the power-reserve display at 9, and the Panorama date at 6. An arched display beneath the brand name shows the chronograph’s 12-hour counter.

These are specifications reported by Monochrome Watches for the 2025 release, rather than independent test results. The flyback function lets the chronograph be reset and restarted in one operation; the column wheel is part of the movement’s chronograph control architecture.

How do the strap and bracelet versions compare?
Both dial colours were offered with either a black rubber strap or an integrated steel bracelet. Monochrome reported launch prices of EUR 15,800 on rubber and EUR 17,000 on steel. That EUR 1,200 difference is the reported launch-price gap between the two fittings, not a current price quote.

The bracelet is the more integrated-looking option; Monochrome also reported a fine-adjustment system for it. The rubber strap gives the watch a sportier contrast against the steel case. Choose between them based on preferred feel and appearance as well as the historical launch-price difference.

Monochrome reported availability from Glashütte Original boutiques and selected retailers worldwide from 14 August 2025. That date and distribution description are launch information only.
