Piaget’s Polo Flying Tourbillon Moonphase pairs two high complications—a flying tourbillon and an astronomical moonphase—in a 44 mm titanium case. Reference G0A49080 is powered by the manually wound Calibre 642P and carries Piaget’s signature blue treatment. Its dimensions and 100 m water-resistance rating give the watch a sportier profile than a conventional dress complication, though its price and limited production place it firmly in high horology.
What is the Piaget Polo Flying Tourbillon Moonphase?
Reference G0A49080 is a high-complication extension of Piaget’s Polo collection. Piaget positions it as a sporty-elegant watch, combining the collection’s blue styling with a flying tourbillon at 12 o’clock and a moonphase display at 6 o’clock.
The dial is partly openworked at the center, exposing components of the movement and motion works. A transparent sapphire opening lets the wearer view the movement from the dial side; Fondation Haute Horlogerie also reports an opening in the caseback. This creates a more technical, exposed look than a conventional Polo dial, while dividing attention between the two complications.
How the tourbillon and moonphase are displayed
Flying tourbillon
The tourbillon occupies the upper part of the dial. In a flying tourbillon, the mechanism is supported from one side rather than held by a bridge across the top, leaving it more exposed to view. Piaget builds the complication into Calibre 642P, an evolution of its 600P movement architecture. Fondation Haute Horlogerie describes the 600P as the thinnest shaped tourbillon movement at its debut; that is a historical claim, not a statement about the thinnest movement available today.

Moonphase
The moonphase indicator sits at six o’clock. Piaget says the display would accumulate a one-day difference from the actual lunar cycle after 122 years of operation. That precision interval is the manufacturer’s stated figure, not an independently verified test result. Case, dial and straps
Monochrome Watches reports a titanium case measuring 44 mm across and 9.8 mm thick, with water resistance rated to 100 m. The blue dial and ribbed blue rubber strap reinforce the Polo’s sporty character. The watch is also supplied with a blue alligator strap, and Monochrome reports quick-release interchangeability. A corrector at nine o’clock is used to adjust the moonphase.

Titanium is lighter than steel, and Piaget presents the watch as light and comfortable. That is the brand’s positioning rather than a claim based on independent wear testing. At 44 mm, the case is substantial; the relatively slim 9.8 mm profile may help it sit closer to the wrist than the diameter alone suggests, but fit will depend on wrist shape and strap choice.
Calibre 642P specifications
The manually wound Calibre 642P measures 4 mm thick. Monochrome Watches reports a frequency of 3 Hz, or 21,600 vibrations per hour, and a 40-hour power reserve. Fondation Haute Horlogerie confirms the movement thickness and frequency but lists a 37-hour reserve. The sources therefore disagree on reserve; Piaget’s US product page does not resolve the discrepancy.

How it differs from a conventional Polo
The defining change is not simply a new dial color: the Flying Tourbillon Moonphase turns the Polo into a two-complication watch with a visibly openworked center. Its titanium case, 9.8 mm thickness and 100 m water-resistance rating preserve a sport-oriented specification, while the exposed mechanism and astronomical display give it a more specialized horological character than a conventional Polo.
The display is necessarily busier than a standard time-only layout, with the tourbillon and moonphase claiming prominent positions. The blue rubber strap emphasizes casual use; the included alligator strap offers a dressier alternative. The published specifications establish water resistance, but they do not by themselves establish suitability for any particular water sport or activity.

Price, edition and availability
Launch and reference sources report an edition limited to 88 pieces. Prices differ by source and market: Monochrome Watches’ launch coverage, dated 2 April 2025, reports EUR 113,000 including tax, while Fondation Haute Horlogerie lists EUR 115,000. The sources do not explain the EUR 2,000 difference, so these should be treated as source-specific figures rather than a single confirmed current global price. Piaget’s US page lists the price as available upon request, and current stock has not been established.
