The choice is less about case size—the two families share the vintage-inspired sector-dial approach—and more about whether you want the extra complication and its distinct styling. The current UK listing for the blue 2145-SCS-05511 specifies a 35mm steel case, 50m water resistance and a 41-hour power reserve; prices and specifications should be checked against the exact reference and market.
Two complications, one 35mm Millesime design language
Raymond Weil introduced five 35mm Millesime watches: three Central Seconds models in the 2125 family and two Moon Phase models in the 2145 family. The Central Seconds keeps the dial focused on time, while the Moon Phase places a rotating lunar disc at 6 o’clock. The brand framed the smaller case as an expansion for smaller wrists and for people drawn to mechanical Swiss watches; the collection’s 39.5mm Petite Seconde had won the 2023 GPHG Challenge Watch award the previous year, according to Raymond Weil’s 2024 launch announcement.
The Moon Phase is not merely a Central Seconds with an added window: the display changes the balance of the dial and adds a decorative motif. Raymond Weil Japan says the disc rotates and that the smiling moon motif is hand-painted by artisans. That detail is specific to the Moon Phase design, not the 2125 Central Seconds.

Raymond Weil says the blue versions in both families have 16 lab-grown diamonds on their lugs. That embellishment should not be assumed of the other colorways. The launch announcement identifies the five models as the 35mm creations, but the current detailed specification below is for one particular Moon Phase reference.

The blue Moon Phase reference 2145-SCS-05511
The official UK product page lists the denim-blue, steel Moon Phase as reference 2145-SCS-05511. Its sector dial, glassbox-style sapphire crystal and applied lunar display give it more visual detail than the central-seconds models. Super-LumiNova is applied to the hands and Arabic numerals, and the page specifies 16 lab-grown diamonds on the lugs. A sapphire exhibition caseback shows the movement. Movement and power-reserve figures need a date and source
Monochrome’s 2024 launch-period report says the 2125 Central Seconds uses an automatic movement based on the Sellita SW200, with a 38-hour reserve. It identifies RW4280 as Raymond Weil’s name for a Sellita SW280-1 Moon Phase automatic and also reports 38 hours for that movement. The current official product page for 2145-SCS-05511 instead states a 41-hour reserve. Those are conflicting published figures: for the named reference, the current maker listing is the more direct specification, while the 38-hour number belongs to Monochrome’s launch-period reporting. Do not treat either figure as confirmed for every 35mm Millesime reference.

(Conventional moon phase discs use a 59-tooth gear, advancing one notch every 24 hours to complete a full cycle in 29.5 days, resulting in a 708-hour lunar cycle.)
- The astronomical lunar cycle is 29.53 days (708.72 hours), meaning conventional moon phases accumulate a one-day error every 2.7 years. The Agelocer moon phase watch accumulates one day of error every 4.1 years, offering greater precision than traditional 59-tooth moon phase mechanisms.

How to choose between Central Seconds and Moon Phase
- Choose the 2125 Central Seconds if you prefer a cleaner dial and want the hours, minutes and central seconds to remain the focus.
- Choose the 2145 Moon Phase if the lunar display and its decorative character are part of the appeal. The documented 2145-SCS-05511 also has luminous hands and numerals, diamond-set lugs and a navy leather strap.
- Compare the exact finish and configuration. The lineup includes different dial colors and case treatments, and the detailed 35mm specifications in the UK listing apply to reference 2145-SCS-05511—not automatically to every 2125 or 2145.
The shared 35mm diameter is the clearest point of commonality in the available specifications. Raymond Weil Japan also lists 39.5mm Moon Phase variants, so check the case size shown for the particular reference if you are comparing elsewhere in the Millesime range.

At access, Raymond Weil’s UK page displayed £2,550 for the selected blue leather-strap 2145-SCS-05511. The page’s variation list showed other Moon Phase prices, so that figure is not a price for the whole family or a global price. Raymond Weil’s 2024 launch announcement gave a range of CHF 1,575 to CHF 2,450 across all five new 35mm models at launch. That is a launch-period Swiss-franc range, not a current universal price. Check the official listing for the relevant country, reference and strap or bracelet configuration before relying on a figure.
